Jacob is my favourite, nn Jake but I like them all.

Lovely names - I like them all. My favourite is George! This would be my order of preference-

Joey (would come higher if short for Joseph)

George - very popular. Like
Jack, Harry - lots of my circle have a Harry or a Jack. I like both but wouldn't use because of that
Joey - Joseph is OK. Joey a bit too twee.
James - love it
Jacob - like but you'd need to be OK with Jake too

James is gorgeous- so timeless but a lot less over used than it used to be. Plus because it’s so perennially popular there are some great namesakes and a surprising amount of nn choices for a one syllable name. Definitely my favourite.

Jacob is nice enough and I’ve always liked friendly sounding Jack. But personally not keen on George (sounds a bit stodgy),much prefer the sound of Henry over Harry and Joseph over Joey (as Joey sounds a bit cutesy?). Don’t think you can go wrong with any of them though - apart from maybe Joey.

George - love

Harry - nice, I prefer Henry as name on bc

Joey - no, it's a bird's name (sorry)

I like them all pretty equally, except Joey which I would reserve as a nn for Joseph. Joey sounds too infantile as a given name.

Out of the others, Jacob would get my vote but Jack and Harry both have a very likeable rogue-ish charm.

George and James feel more formal, but are both handsome classics.

They are all good names!
My favourites would be Jacob and Jack.

That’s a really dull, boring list (sorry!). you must be able to come up with a more interesting name. He’ll blend in with loads of others when he starts school with any of those.

@MillyMollyMandy01 if this is OPs, and many others, preference of name taste then who are you to call it boring? They are classic and will stand the test of time far better than the currently popular Arlo and Zion remit of names.

I like James and Harry from your list although know lots of Harry's, James has lots of lovely nn choices as well and suits boys and will suit when he's a man too

@MillyMollyMandy01 , people have different tastes. One person's boring is another person's classic.

I like all of the names on your list but would agree with others that Joey is nice as a nn for Joseph rather than a standalone name. My favourites are Jack and George.

I love James, George, Harry and Jack - it’s hard to choose between them but that’s probably my order of preference.

I won’t mind Jacob and Joseph but I prefer the others, and I’m not keen on Joey.

I like them all except James.
