How many do you know of, and roughly what age are they?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Moreteaandchocolate · 07/04/2024 20:44

SallyWD · 07/04/2024 20:57

I know one who's mid-40s and one who's 10. So I don't think it's overused at all. Lovely name

OverTheCountryClub · 07/04/2024 21:03

I know a toddler and a couple of secondary aged kids called Clara. It's a lovely name!

butterwithtoast · 07/04/2024 21:18

I have a 6yo Clara, and we've met a few more. There's another in her school but not in her year. Needless to say, I think it's a lovely name ☺️

calamariqueen · 07/04/2024 21:24

I also have a 6yo Clara & have met a few more! I think it was in the top 100 girls names in 2017 so relatively popular.

HumphreyCobblers · 07/04/2024 21:32

I have a fifteen year old Clara. We recently met another teenager but that is the only one we know. I think it is a really elegant name and doesn't get shortened.

OnHerSolidFoundations · 07/04/2024 21:36

Don't know any.
It's lovely though.

Amisilli · 07/04/2024 21:39

Know one in East Midlands Year 6

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2024 21:40

I know two, both mid-teens.

Alloveragain3 · 07/04/2024 21:41

Know one who is 35.
I think it's very uncommon and a beautiful, elegant name

OpposableThumbs2 · 07/04/2024 21:43

I was going to call DD2 Clara in 2016 but then realised as DD1 was Amelia I had a bit of a Dr Who theme going on and changed my mind at the last minute.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 07/04/2024 21:44

I think I've only taught one Clara in 30 years of teaching. I work in a girls' school atm and I don't think we have any.

Kitkat1523 · 07/04/2024 21:45

Mumofgirls2017 · 07/04/2024 22:06

2 aged 5

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 07/04/2024 22:09

I’m a 48 year old one 🤷🏼‍♀️

dreamersdown · 07/04/2024 22:11

I have a 1 year old Clara! I know a 6 year old Clara but no other babies - but the whole nursery class is A names - Isla, Aria, Lara, Ava, Bella, Ella, Marla. So while Clara itself less usual, it does sadly feel a little bit “trendy” when she’s in the mix with her peers.

MiddleChildHits40 · 07/04/2024 22:15

It was my choice of girls name in 2004. My DS is now nearly 20! I still love it.

It is actually my middle name and I am pushing 50 :)

I know one other one aged 28 and that’s it.

Fab name.

theduchessofspork · 07/04/2024 22:20

3 under 11

It’s a nice name

soundsys · 07/04/2024 22:25

I know quite a few, all under 6. (East London). My 4yo was very nearly a Clara but too popular!
