How do you pronounce Esme?

Seen this name on a lot of baby name sites is it said Es(me) or Es(may) or something completely different?

I pronounce it Es...Me but most seem to pronounce it as Es...May 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would pronounce Es-May unless told otherwise, but that’s just because the few I have met have all been Es-May’s.

I’ve heard it both ways. Esmay seems the more common but I prefer Esmee.

Es-may. We have friends who spell it Esme and some who spell it Esmay and both pronounce it the same. I think the one off sewing bee is also Esme pronounced Es-may

Have known people with both pronunciations, and would wait to hear someone else say it or check pronunciation if I'd only seen I'd written down when meeting a new person

I always say Es-May, the two I know are pronounced that way.

I pronounce it Ez May because I knew someone who pronounced their name that way. But I assume it can be pronounced either way.
