Edward would be my favourite as I love the Ed and Teddy nicknames, closely followed by Henry

shoopshoopdedoo · 06/04/2024 20:55

I love George and Edward. Really like Henry.

I don’t personally like Arthur or Albert (no one where I’m from pronounces their T’s and Albert sounds odd with no ending!) - plus these both seem to be very popular at the moment, whereas your other choices are kind of classic but not having a trendy phase!

Moreteaandchocolate · 06/04/2024 20:58

I love George, Arthur, Henry and Edward. Not so keen on Albert.

SkaneTos · 06/04/2024 22:12

I think they are all great names!

If you both like the name Henry, and it's a family name, and you have a lovely friend with the name Henry, then I would choose Henry.

motleymop · 06/04/2024 22:15

I like Edward and Henry. Dislike Arthur, plus it's very popular.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/04/2024 22:24

Henry - I always think family links are lovely, a nice story to tell the DC plus it’s a timeless, classic name.

Unless you’d prefer to keep family names for middle ones, in which case Edward Henry ( Edward being a fellow timeless classic -albeit one with a zillion nn choices so make sure you don’t really hate any of them!).

George is a classic too (though one I have an irrational dislike for as it sounds so stodgy - Georgey Porgy etc), but Arthur and Albert are very trendy and personally I don’t even think Albert sounds that nice.

Mumofgirls2017 · 06/04/2024 22:25

Oooh I love them all. I’d probably opt Henry and Edward second.

PickledScrump · 07/04/2024 00:41

They are all very popular now, particularly Edward and Arthur if that bothers you.

my favourites on your list are Edward and Henry

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2024 00:45

My clear favourites are Henry and Edward.

Arthur is nice, but I only like the full name, not the popular diminutives.

I'm not keen on Albert or George.

Theoldwoman · 07/04/2024 00:46

George
Edward
then Henry

theduchessofspork · 07/04/2024 00:51

All nice, all incredibly popular

Edward has lots of varied nicknames so maybe that.

timoteigirl · 07/04/2024 13:13

Only Henry and Edward, not the others.

KirstenBlest · 07/04/2024 14:04

Henry- yes
Albert- no
Arthur- no, too popular
George - yes
Edward - yes but Teddy is too popular

blueandwhitesquares · 07/04/2024 14:37

Henry

KarmaArmy · 08/04/2024 20:28

I have an Arthur and I love the name. Also love Edward though (it was between those two for us)

OopsieeDaisy · 10/04/2024 13:49

I really like all of the names on your list. My favourites are Henry, Albert and George but I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.
