Classic. Like it very much. Lydia is also lovely. How long have you got? My husband eventually came around to some names on my list that he'd initially vetoed. Usually by that point I'd gone off them.

I don't think it really matters as he didn't like DS's name at all when I suggested it but over the months I wore him down and now he admits its a fab name and nothing else int he world would suit him!

Im not pregnant lol, been trying for a few months though,

I think Lydia is much nicer. Lucy is ok, but Lydia is beautiful. Any chance of wearing him down?

Pinkchampagne · 29/03/2008 18:49

Not a bad name, but the fact it was my boyfriend's mad ex girlfriend's name, kind of puts me off it!

Disenchanted · 30/03/2008 11:18

I like Lydia more too.

Lucy is a beautiful name. Classic, timeless and not over-used or 'trendy'.

I'm not keen on Lydia, but thats because i know a not-very-nice Lydia and it reminds of a stuck up middle aged pompous woman

Hulababy · 31/03/2008 12:01

I like the name Lucy. I also lik it spelt Lucie.

Flame · 31/03/2008 12:11

I prefer Lucy

schneebly · 31/03/2008 12:13

Lucy is a sweet name - not as keen on Lydia but I am Scottish so it sounds like a fellow Scot has said 'lid of a'

jellybeans · 31/03/2008 12:19

I much prefer Lucy, not that keen on Lydia.

VictorianSqualor · 31/03/2008 12:29

Can I throw Leah into the equation?
I lvoe Leah but as DD is Ella we think they'd sound a bit funny together.

Jackstini · 31/03/2008 12:31

I know sooooo many girls called Lucy - may be a bit overused in my area!
Prefer Lydia to Lucy, not as common but like Leah or Leila too
