expecting triplets!!

Hi all! We're expecting triplets due in July and are not sure of the genders, currently trying to decide on three boy and girl names each. We’ve settled on all but the last girl name. Their older sister is Rosalie Anne (but generally goes by Rosie & Rose, although we do call her Rosalie), and so far we have:

For a boy:

  1. Christopher Kingsley
  2. Jasper Harrison
  3. Henry Dean

For a girl:

  1. Lily Andrea
  2. Charlotte Ivy

The names all incorporate family names, but that isn't necessary for the third. First names we’re considering are Lucy, Chloe, and Lydia but we're open to suggestions! Reaaally like Dianna and Olivia but unfortunately can't use them :(

Also - we're trying to settle on a first and middle name, and DH pointed out that so far all the girl names incoporate some sort of flowery/nature element (Rose, Lily, Ivy) so it would be nice for the last one to follow that (preferrably in the middle name) I don't really like the excessively cutesy floral names like Daisy/Poppy etc, but ones we are considering are along the lines of Violet/Viola, Flora, Sage, Amber, Vera, and Iris. Again, it doesn't need to be floral if something else flows better but it would be nice! Thank you in advance😊

Awww congratulations!
inpersonally wouldn’t want a jasper with Rosalie due to the Twilight link. Just as I wouldn’t have Bella and Edward. Lol

So I think I’d be hoping for two of one and the third of another lol
Harrison Kingsley and Christopher Henry are nice (avoiding a double C/K sound or double H) and then I love Lily Amelia rather than Andrea and Ivy Lydia

I don’t envy you coming up with 3 names though!!!

Triptastico · 03/04/2024 17:44

Congratulations. No advice on names but as per my username I have triplets. They are teens now.

Choosing names was hard, I knew what I was having but still couldn't decide. Was still deliberating over 2 names in the car on the way to the hospital.

Then deciding who was going to be who was also hard.

Oh I didn't even think about the twilight thing!! :( will have to decide if that's important enough to us. Really hoping for 2+1 as well!! I've always lovedddd Jasper so I'll really need to think.

Andrea was quite important to us as it's the name of a late family member, but Amelia is really pretty too! I'm leaning more towards established names as the first names, which is why we were keeping Ivy as the middle name, but it's a good idea to play around with the order of the middle/first names. Thank you!

Congrats!
Instead of Dianna or Olivia, would any of these be ok, or still too similar?
Dearne (Dee-arn)
Deana (Dee-anna)
Olive

Some others
Elizabeth Wren
Elizabeth Willow
Elizabeth Ruby
Brooke
Ferne
Skye
Fleur/flora
Coralie/Coral
Hazel
Lilac
Ava

Edit to check what the initials would spell too!

ISeeTheLight · 03/04/2024 17:58

I'm also not keen on Jasper with Rosalie, due to Twilight. I'd go maybe with George, Matthew, Oscar.

For a girl, you could add e.g. Emma, Clara, Eleanor, Olivia.

thank you so much!! trying to get ahead of the hospital situation but it's looking like that might be us too

Edited

I like Willow as a middle name, and I think Eva might be nice as well (instead of ava)

I love all your name choices! We have similar taste! For the third girl’s name, I think Lucy and Lydia are possibly a bit similar to Lily? So Chloe would be my choice from those options.
Other ideas, if you wanted a different first initial to the other girls -

Alice
Sophie / Sophia
Jessica
Abigail
Annabel
Eloise
Mabel
Imogen
Martha
Harriet
Freya
Florence
Francesca

Middle name ideas

Iris (love this as a first name too!)
Aspen
Fleur
Flora
Hazel
Willow
Jasmine (love as a first name too)
Robyn
Pearl
Ruby (love)
Saffron
Savannah
Summer
Wren

WetBandits · 03/04/2024 19:24

Love your name choices! Agree on the Twilight thing though Grin Casper/Caspar instead of Jasper?

Would also try and avoid any of them sharing initials as could get confusing with paperwork in the future as they’ll also have the same DOB.

Theoldwoman · 03/04/2024 22:50

Kate Juliet

I would avoid Lucy and Lydia because there is a chance you could end up with Lily, Lottie and Lucy/Lydia for triplets which is a bit over the top.

Chloe Violet
Chloe Iris
Iris Elizabeth
Flora Willow
Eva Willow

FayCarew · 04/04/2024 19:45

@DSD9472 , Deana is 'deena'. I know a few of them.

ButtonMoonBlanketSky · 04/04/2024 20:08

Chloe Fern ♥️

Caszekey · 04/04/2024 20:10

I wouldn't have got the Twilight link and it seems even less likely kids will in a decade+ down the line, it's not like having Hermione and Harry.

We only had twins but decided on naming them in order as they came out, not picking a baby on an ultrasound iyswim so first out was C and second was Z. They were near identical in size too so less pressure on whether the right one was which one.

Rosalie, Lily, Charlotte, Eva Primrose.
Rosalie, Lily, Charlotte, Jasper
Rosalie, Lily, Jasper, Henry
Rosalie, Jasper, Henry, Christopher

Personally Kingsley and Harrison are too surnamey for me. Henry Dean, Jasper Finn, Christopher Andre.

WhamBamThankU · 04/04/2024 20:29

I loved Emile for my last but went with a name I got from a Disney film 🤣

Cronchy · 04/04/2024 20:45

Personally I wouldn’t do jasper and Rosalie
maybe jasper could be the middle

for your girls name I would go violet

i think ivy is a very established first name so if you like it I wouldn’t let that put you off making it the first name.

for me Kingsley and Harrison are a bit too surnamey and Kingsley and Christopher are a bit too harsh together in comparison to jasper Harrison and Henry dean which are much softer names. CK and JH are quite a mouthful in comparison to HD as well so I’d just think about it they all have the same feel or not - obviously they don’t have to, especially if you’re only ever using first names

DSD9472 · 04/04/2024 22:23

@FayCarew You are correct. The 'Dee-anna' I was thinking of was spelt Deanna. I missed the 2nd N off the spelling. Thanks.😬

KayEmAy · 04/04/2024 23:37

Okay I absolutely ADORE your boy names! I also love how Lily Andrea rolls off the tongue. Charlotte isn't my favorite but I recognize that I am the only person in the world that feels that way haha Ivy is awesome!

other ideas:

Thea Lavender
Keira Daphne
Jenna/Jennifer Reed
Blaire Violet
Caroline Hazel
Davina Hazel
Simone Iris nn Mona

Eden Olivia (I feel like a garden counts as floral haha And if you love Olivia maybe a middle name?)

FayCarew · 05/04/2024 11:31

@DSD9472 , I know a 'dee-anna' but wasn't sure of the spelling as she goes by Dee. Deanna is pretty.

I think in Greek 'Diana' is dee-anna unless it's spelt 'Daiana' but my knowledge of Greek is limited.

PokemonandMissingSocks · 05/04/2024 17:40

Louise Marigold
