Middle name help for baby

So I've decided on Eloise for my little girl. It's just everything I want in a name and it holds such wonderful images of a baby I knew called Eloise.
But I've got two middle name options, which would you chose? And why?

Eloise Athena
Eloise Matilda

Thank you.

I feel like Eloise is quite a traditional name, so Matilda works better also being traditional.

They’re both amazing. Narrowly pick Athena as flows slightly better

PrincessTitan · 01/04/2024 09:35

Anyone else?

I think Athena flows better.

BeaLola · 01/04/2024 10:39

I'm 50/50 - depends on surname and
1- how they all sound together
2- that you don't end up with EAT or EAR as initials

timoteigirl · 01/04/2024 10:49

Both amazing.

PrincessTitan · 01/04/2024 11:17

@BeaLola Don't want to out myself with surname or first letter but there is no dodgy initials with either combination.

Matilda works better - maybe because it’s not too vowels or they are both mediaeval-ish

My reasoning is quite particular, just based on personal opinion ...

Eloise Matilda sounds more musically clear and confident.

Eloise Anthea has the focus on TH which over rides the first name in a competitive way.

PrincessTitan · 01/04/2024 22:28

Anyone else? As not had much response to my post.

Eloise is a lovely name, and I think both Eloise Athena and Eloise Matilda sound good!
I voted for Eloise Athena, beacuse to me it sounds a bit more melodic, but either combination is lovely.

motleymop · 02/04/2024 21:37

I vote Athena but that's because I don't really like the name Matilda

Hohofortherobbers · 02/04/2024 21:41

Eloise is lovely, prefer Athena over Matilda personally

Sexisthairdressers · 02/04/2024 21:41

Matilda!

m00ngirl · 02/04/2024 21:55

Athena because it's a beautiful name and refers to wisdom, whereas both Eloise and Matilda are warrior names. So as Eloise Athena you will have a wise warrior ☺️
