Amber?

Can't decide whether it's a bit dated? I think it sounds soft but not too 'girly'. I like nature names. I also think Hazel is beautiful, but it seems to be having a but of a moment, which puts me off slightly, plus I don't like the sound quite as much.

I think Amber is a gorgeous name.

I really like Amber! I think it’s a gorgeous name, that’s stood the test of time - it’s never been top 20 so it’s not as dated to a particular era as some names, and I think it will continue to hover around the lower end of the top 100 names for a while yet.

Amber feels dull and dated to me. Hazel is having a moment, and I don’t love it either, but prefer it to Amber. I like it for a boy though.

I don’t like either name I’m afraid. There are so many beautiful names for girls beginning with A and H. I think they are quite bland, boring and dated.

To me Amber is dated. It has a very 90s feel, a bit like Chloe. My DC were born in the 90s and those names were popular then.

Hazel seems fresher, somehow. It seems to be getting popular so will date.

I've got an Amber , I read a book years ago called Forever Amber and decided to use it if I had a girl.
