Gender neutral/masculine Scottish names

I like the names Owen and Quinn (thoughts?) but neither of Scottish origin so am also looking for any suggestions for a gender neutral / masculine leaning name from closer to home

I remember the billy Connolly tale of , Farquhar, McKenzie, Fraser, with him exclaiming ... doesn't anyone here have first fucking names.😂

All the people who found him annoying always tended to pronounce his name slightly differently...

What about connal..corrin..Afton..cree..

For boys I love the name Sorley, comes from Somhairle. Also Callen/Cailean, Innes and Seoras.

For girls it’s Maggie, Marsaili, Ailis, Flora and Erin (that one isn’t Scottish!).

None of those are gender neutral I know 🤣

I love the Scottish name Sandy, short for Alexander, I think.

It is and so is Acky.

Other gender neutral Scottish names are Mhari and Aislinn.

Robyn is more commonly used for girls.

‘Leaning toward’ masculine.

so Max, Jamie and Cameron are gender neutral but more masculine.
Lindsey, Mackenzie and Sandy are gender neutral but more feminine.

(just my feeling on them, others might disagree but I just used those to illustrate that names can be gender neutral but lean more one way or the other.)
