Hi,

I’m in need of some opinions please!

We are registering our lovely little girl tomorrow and I’m not 100% set on her name. My favourite name changes on a day by day basis.

Robyn - this was my favourite through pregnancy and I do still really like it. dh really likes this. However now I’m worried it’s a bit boyish. I also think of the birds and I’m not sure I like that. Rob is boyish and Byn is like bin.

Caitlin- clashes a little with our surname and brother is William so the issue is Will and Kate as per a previous thread. I think dh likes this least but I like it the most.

Alyssa - a bit of a wildcard option. Dh likes this and it goes well with our surname but it’s come out of the blue so it feels risky and we’ve no time to think about it!

Thank you!

How about Ashlyn?

I do like this, I like most -lyn names but unfortunately I’ve no time to consider any more names! Thank you for the suggestion though :)

Not Caitlin if it clashes with your surname.

Violetandgreen · 17/03/2024 21:08

Alyssa is a beautiful name for your wee girl.

Carsarelife · 17/03/2024 21:10

I'm going for Robyn it's a fab name

Kittythecutest · 17/03/2024 21:11

Alyssa. It’s pretty yet simple with great nickname options if you want them. Caitlin feels a bit dated to me, and I much prefer Robyn for a boy (well, Robin!).

MumChp · 17/03/2024 21:12

Robyn is nice!

bravotango · 17/03/2024 21:14

I love Robyn for a girl! Thats my vote.

salamithumbs · 17/03/2024 21:16

I think I like Alyssa the best but I like them all!

GoodVibesHere · 17/03/2024 21:17

Robyn is absolutely lovely

TurtleFox · 17/03/2024 21:18

I like Caitlin and Alyssa best, both are lovely names :) Alyssa goes better with your surname and sibling name, so that gets my vote :)

HoHoHoliday · 17/03/2024 21:22

Robyn is lovely! It's so sweet but works well for any age so it will grow well. It's a great choice in my view.
Robyn Alyssa would be a beautiful combination.

SabrinaThwaite · 17/03/2024 21:22

Have you thought about Catriona?

Hohofortherobbers · 17/03/2024 21:24

Robyn

Sunnyseville · 17/03/2024 21:29

Alyssa 😍

Beaconsblue · 17/03/2024 21:31

Robyn Alyssa sounds beautiful. You’ve liked Robyn throughout so I’d say stick with that as a first name, it’s a lovely name .

Have you thought about Catriona?

Yes, Catriona is nicer than Caitlyn. Robyn is good, or Alicia/Alyssa.

Robyn101 · 17/03/2024 21:33

I’m biased naturally 😅
what I will say is that gender neutral names like mine are very en-vogue currently.

I’ve never had anyone just use byn part either

TheOriginalEmu · 17/03/2024 21:34

I love Robyn for a girl, I know one and her nickname is Birdy!

Wrennie4 · 17/03/2024 21:34

Robyn is so lovely.

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 17/03/2024 21:34

They’re all nice but Alyssa is my favourite.

LemonJuice92 · 17/03/2024 21:35

Alyssa is such a lovely name - I know an Alyssa and she gets lots of compliments on her name! I also think the nickname Lissie is adorable for a little girl 💗

TurtleFox · 17/03/2024 21:42

Yes I love the nickname Lissie too. I don’t know how I’m going to decide by tomorrow! Eek

Alyssa. It's the name that has least problems for you. And it's lovely.
