I really like the French connection of Sylvie and Margot but think Mabel might actually be the better choice...

For those who mentioned Sylvia, I don't like that unfortunately.

I agree with @FangsForTheMemory Mabel is dowdy. Yes, I know old fashioned names can be great but Mabel still sounds like a granny. And if I were the one called Mabel I'd be annoyed my twin got a much prettier name. She'd have to be a stunner to carry it off as an adult.

I think Sylvie is such an amazing name

If I had to pick Margot or Mabel I would probably pick Margot as my friend had a housekeeper called Mabel who was an older lady.
