Tabitha or Felicity?

Sibling for Beatrix. Middle name suggestions welcome too! I prefer Tabitha but our surname begins with T. Does this matter?

Thankyou!

I would choose Felicity

Thesonofaphesantplucker · 10/03/2024 07:39

Tabitha, I adore it!

toastofthetown · 10/03/2024 07:50

I much prefer Tabitha and generally like alliterative names so I’d see it as a pro rather than a con.

Middle name suggestions: Clio, Fern, Florence, Frances, Giselle, Polly

Whokilledrogerrabit · 10/03/2024 08:05

I would choose Felicity out of your choices personally.

Are you a massive Beatrix Potter fan?! If you're not and want to avoid people thinking you've named your children after her/her book characters, I'd think twice about Tabitha.

Taliah and Talulah have a similar sound without the connection. Verity is also pretty.

Moreteaandchocolate · 10/03/2024 08:05

I prefer Tabitha! I don’t think the surname beginning with T matters.

Middle name ideas -

Tabitha Felicity sounds great!

Or-

Tabitha Celeste
Tabitha Nicole
Tabitha Wren
Tabitha Maeve

I prefer Tabitha, it's lovely 😊

GU24Mum · 10/03/2024 08:42

I think a T-T alliteration can be harder then some of the others. Tabitha has more to pronounce than some names too if that makes sense - so I'd go for Felicity.

DontGiveADuck · 10/03/2024 09:15

Felicity, I love it.

Anything but the filler names of Rose/Grace/May as middle names. Boring.

Nuglife123 · 10/03/2024 09:56

Yes trying to avoid a filler middle name but feel like both are quite long so need a short middle name. Seems a pretty even ish split - genuinely torn as the Potter link is just a coincidence, I just think tabitha goes well with Beatrix. Ugh maybe it will be a boy as we only have one name so easier at least!

Tabitha!

theduchessofspork · 10/03/2024 17:15

I like them both but would probably go with Felicity or it’s a bit Beatrix Potter-tastic.

Plus Tabitha does lean a little bit twee and an alliterative full name is probably going to exacerbate that.

PennyPugwash · 10/03/2024 17:37

Love felicity!!

DramaAlpaca · 10/03/2024 17:41

Felicity is so much nicer.

Tabitha is just too twee, especially with an alliterative surname.

Moveoverdarlin · 10/03/2024 17:44

I love Tabitha and the fact your surname begins with a T makes it sound even more elegant.

Tabitha Taylor
Tabitha Thompson
Tabitha Trent

Middle names I’d go classic Elizabeth, Juliet, Charlotte, Annabelle, Katherine.

Not keen on Felicity.

Legoninjago1 · 10/03/2024 17:51

Wow those were my 2 girls names! I have 2 boys so didn't get to use them! I absolutely love them both. I'd probably veer towards Tabitha.

SkaneTos · 10/03/2024 17:58

They are both lovely names.

VenusClapTrap · 10/03/2024 21:23

I’d choose Tabitha, but they’re both nice.

RogueFemale · 11/03/2024 02:33

Another vote for Tabitha. It's a lovely soft sound. Felicity sounds harsh.

MariaVT65 · 11/03/2024 02:52

I prefer Felicity.

Tabitha makes me think of a cat. ‘Tabby’

Forgottenmypasswordagain · 11/03/2024 02:53

Tabitha

Scrumbleton · 11/03/2024 10:04

Felicity - Tabitha is a cats name for me

TheOriginalEmu · 11/03/2024 10:32

I’d pick Tabitha, i think TT names are fine.
Tabitha Eve is nice

TheRealMummyPig · 11/03/2024 11:00

I love Tabitha 😊 what about Tabitha Rose? You could even call her Tabby Rose for short (even if not on birth certificate as such)
Something similar is Araminta, Minty for short

KirstenBlest · 11/03/2024 11:23

Is the surname Twitchit?

hlc123 · 11/03/2024 11:41

Love Tabitha, never liked the name Felicity
