is just Frank nicer?

Franklin seems very American to me-like Benjamin Franklin.
Which is fine if you are American or don't mind but somehow seems a little much.
Frank nice and def having a comeback.

Moreteaandchocolate · 05/03/2024 14:47

I prefer just Frank personally but Franklin is fine if you like it better

KirstenBlest · 05/03/2024 20:19

Frank is fine, Franklin is awful.

LightSpeeds · 05/03/2024 20:24

I like it.

Tynm · 05/03/2024 20:31

I have a Franklin. Always call him Frank tho. His name gets lots of compliments

SkaneTos · 06/03/2024 16:41

I think Franklin is a nice name! Frank is a nice name, too.

I know one person with the name Franklin, a man who is around 85 years old.

GiantRoadPuzzle · 06/03/2024 16:42

I know a 3 year Franklin, he’s a lovely kid and it really suits him.

mambojambodothetango · 06/03/2024 16:43

Love Frank. Was my second choice boy's name. My Dad had Francis in his name so I guess I'd have gone for that rather than Franklin as a full name.

RickyGervaislovesdogs · 06/03/2024 16:48

I like it, good strong name. Is a bit American though imo. I like Jackson, Sebastian, and Alexander too. I also like Rocco but that’s VERY Italian and unless I had some connection I couldn’t go there.

stormonasummerseve · 06/03/2024 16:48

Just finished watching Snowfall so it has that association for me - great show but not the type of guy you'd want your son to grow up to be Grin
Apart from that I think it's a nice name. But yes will 100% get shortened to frank (or Frankie which has the same syllables so not really a shortening but it'll happen!)

Look up Freewheeling Franklin of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers! I actually think it's a nice name, but a bit out there.

My grandad was called Frank as his first name was Francis.

Tigertigertigertiger · 06/03/2024 18:55

Love it.
