Henrietta, Alexander and….. Emmeline?

I think we FINALLY have a name!!

any thoughts? I have posted a few times and this name was one of the suggestions. 😅
Although we don’t ever plan a nickname to use, we figure out it will probably be Emmie.

Henrietta is known as Etty (her own choice and NN is even used at school by teachers) Alexander is Alex, no surprises there!

so…. Etty, Alex and Emmie.

Great choice :) I think Emmeline is beautiful, it goes really well with your other children’s names, and the nn Emmie is gorgeous.

There was a hit song a few years back (by Hot Chocolate, I think) called Emmeline.

Thank you. We loved quite a few other names, but they were shorter and for some reason we felt they just didn’t ‘go.’ I know that’s silly as they are all individual human beings 🤣 but Henrietta, Alexander and Thea (one that made the shortlist) just didn’t seem right.

My favourite girls name ! Forever a boy mum so will never get to use it but it's definitely an underused name !

It really is, isn’t it?! I wonder if there will be an influx of baby Emmeline’s at some point. I remember when Florence was rare, but it’s very popular now.

Wow I love your names and my own children’s names are so similar. Emmeline is great and I love repeated letters, sounds and lengths throughout the set.

I do like it but suspect it will be constantly misheard as "Emily". Depends if that's a problem or not.

Yes I agree with this. I love the name but they do sound a bit similar. Practice saying the names together out loud and see if it works for you.

I love Emmeline, such a lovely name. Though very similar to Etty. Especially if you say "my daughters, Etty and Emmy" or something. Bit of a mouthful. Maybe you won't need to say Etty and Emmy very often 🤷‍♀️

Thea is also nice. I met a woman called Timothea last week but she calls her self Timmie not Thea.

My sister’s name is Emmeline! (no nicknames she always goes by her full name).

Lovely names. If you like Thea what about Dorothea. Got a similar classical feel to the other names.

Althea is also an option as a longer name for Thea. I love Emmie and Etty, but agree that the NNs are quite similar.
