Baby girl help!!!

I am expecting a baby girl and we cannot seem to decide on a name. My Partner likes more classic names like Olivia, Sophie, Emma whereas I find they're too popular and much prefer less common names such as Sabrina, Everly and Avalon.

We both agree on Miley, Alice and Madeline and we want a name beginning with J for the middle name. I am set on Juliet but he is adamant on it not being this.

Need help finding a name that is not too out there for him hut also not super common and a middle name. My Partner already has a little girl names Emilia Rose, so something that would go with this.

I was going to say Alice June but seeing your post about your mums name and your middle name, either of those would work well with Alice too.

Love Jayne and Joanne - but its my mums name and my middle name so couldn't use it :((

Edited

I don't understand why you can't use it if it's your mum's name and your middle name. Wouldn't that make it extra special?

canttellyouwhereorwhatido · 28/02/2024 22:26

Leticia (Lettie or Tizz as Nicknames)

HoHoHoliday · 28/02/2024 22:33

Alice Jasmine

Jasmine a nice flower name to link her to her sister's middle flower name.

Newbornhaze · 28/02/2024 23:51

I think that makes it more sentimental! I ended up having a son but if he were a girl I was going to give her the same middle name as me which has been passed down my family.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/02/2024 01:37

Would he consider Julia instead of Juliet? It has a very similar style to Emilia so I’d be surprised if he disliked it.

Alice Julia or Madeline Julia are lovely and work well with Emilia Rose. Miley is a very different style and too associated with one person imo.

If you don’t want to go for the same middle name as you or your mum (although I think that link would be lovely), I also think Jessamine or Jessamy would also make a beautiful middle name ( both are less commonplace variations of Jasmine so still floral like Rose) or Jacinta (variation of Hyacinth so also a floral link).

Other first name ideas that are less commonplace than Olivia, Sophie etc but that are similar style to Emilia or your/his picks:

Sylvie
Ottilie
Gaia
Maia
Claudia
Serena
Celia/Cecilia
Antonia
Anya
Francesca
Miranda

It is her real name?

Her real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus.

LesLavandes · 29/02/2024 01:47

I love Madeleine. My baby girl who didn't make it would have been called this name.

As It is a long name, maybe a shorter middle name would be good

Alice Julianna
Alice Jocelyn
Alice Josephine
Alice Josefa
Madeleine Jasmine

Miley Jasmin!!

Madeline gets changed to maddy mostly, it's a great name.

So when thinking middle names I'd go maddy Jane, or maddy Jo etc so they are shorter.
