Baby boy names that go well with surname Thornton

My sister's baby is due in April and they're really struggling to think of baby boy names that are unique or rare that go with the surname Thornton.

They don't know the gender but have pretty much picked out a girls name already but they're really struggling with boys names as the ones they like, Tristan, Aidan, Falon, all end in a similar sound to Thornton and they don't like the thought or feeling of too many 'un' sounds.

I suggested Hugo, Theo, Leo, Xander, they don't like them and they're not rare or unique enough for them... Any suggestions are welcome.

I don't have suggestions but I have a child with a -en first name and a -on last name and honestly, it really doesn't matter. They should use names they like. It's not once been a problem and I've not even once thought about it. I love her name though.

Hamsters, yes. Whenever anyone asks for a baby name to go with their surname i automatically think of a rhyming name or word. It’s a problem.

First thought from just the title was Will.

Whatever they chose it will sound best if it's 1 or 3 syllables

I think one or two syllables goes best. Long names tend to get shortened anyway.

Personally I love soft sounding gender neutral names and I recently added Shiloh to the list. What is there style? Soft sounding, masculine, long/short?

I also love Asher and Ira 🤍. My friend just called her baby Apollo which is think is amazing!

Some very nice suggestions, but if they want a unique name, they would have to invent one themselves. Would there be any law against that?

Woah I'm so surprised that this thread is still going strong. I've forwarded all thr suggestions to my sister and she still really likes Kingsley, even to possibly put in as a middle name.
