Charlotte or Serena

I love those two names. I am an international student and I used charlotte as my nickname in high school. But now I see more and more people saying that charlotte is boring and boring. Should I change my name? I've always loved the name serena. I think if charlotte is really boring it's out of character for me. Would it look weird if I changed my nickname? There's no legal paperwork involved, just a nickname.

I love Charlotte - I think it’s a beautiful and elegant timeless classic! Adore Lottie as a nickname too

For me Serena is a bit boring and ‘meh’

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 25/02/2024 11:11

charlotte is really nice and I love Lottie.

Serena is alright but I would choose Charlotte out of the two.

Onelife2024 · 25/02/2024 11:25

Charlotte is elegant, timeless and I don’t think it’s boring!

I like Serena but it’s not more exciting than Charlotte to me.

I really like the name Charlotte. Serena is fine but I prefer Charlotte. I wouldn’t say either name is boring.

Charlotte is much better plus it means you don't have to randomly change your name!

Clearinguptheclutter · 25/02/2024 12:07

Charlotte is nicer.

Serena is ok but these days I just think of the evil character in Handmaid’s tale.

I much prefer Charlotte to Sereba

I love Charlotte. It's onw of my favourite names. And Charlottes are always lovely people in my experience too.

Serena is fine. Quite like it.

Charlotte

Boring is such a subjective term. Plenty of people on here think my name is boring or dull (it's a timeless classic in a similar style to Charlotte). I am neither boring nor dull (I hope!) and I disagree that my name is either of those things. I like it.

A name does not make a personality! You picked Charlotte for a reason, I would stick with it. Otherwise you risk changing what you're known as every few years as your taste adapts and changes which would just be confusing for those who know you. You made a choice, now own it :-)

Thank you guys so much! It means a lot for me. These days I regret not using serena. But I can't go back to 14 years old.so it make me very sad.No one wants to be called boring .Thank you for your reply. Which reminds me why I chose charlotte. And please share more of why your love charlotte.
