Marina - gorgeous, international and Shakespearean elegance
Astrid - very Euro cool, funky
Fiona - no, would assume middle aged
May - pretty, fresh and sweet ( and underused as a first name)
Felicity - kind of UC dippy boho image to me but I still like it
Jane - elegant, patrician, ultra classic, fantastic namesakes and will make a big comeback in 10/20 years so she’ll be ahead of her peers
Merryn - not sure as sounds a bit unisex/surname
Jessica - somehow still slightly 80’s teenager to me despite being Shakespearean
Alice - timeless classic so no image but maybe dull
Tess- beautiful,wild, romantic, feisty
Polly - a cutesy dolly - no from me
Josie - a cutesy pussycat so a no (love Josephine though)
Rosalind - gorgeous, feisty ,very smart ( hate nn Roz though)
Susanna - beautiful, underused classic, soft and romantic
Frida - wild Scandi goddess type
Lucie - cutesy and no from me
Antonia - My fave. underused, gorgeous classic with great nn’s (apart from Toni- use Anya or Nia/Nina) and a romantic feel
Daisy - uber cutesy so a no
Jennifer - dated, would assume middle aged
Charlotte - total classic so no image but maybe dull
Nancy- cutesy and so trendy to boot so a no
Tara - maybe a bit 80’s Sloane but I somehow still like it and has the benefit of being unusual yet fitting in ( with the more popular Lara, Zara’s etc)

Definite yes to:
Marina - elegant, underused, Shakespearean. I know some people can’t get beyond the marine/harbour idea but I like its link to the sea.

Merryn - feels like a more tailored, tomboyish version of Marina

Alice - my favourite ‘classic’, which (to me) somehow feels less tired and bland than most of the others

Frida - strong, artsy and cosmopolitan, with a lot of character and flair

Nancy - a happy, ‘lively’ name that’s a good balance of mainstream and just interesting enough.
