Like Celeste.

Cheepcheepcheep · 15/02/2024 13:17

Josephine - was a contender for DC2 before we found out he was DS :)

user1492757084 · 15/02/2024 13:19

Louisa and Lucy

TemplesofDelight · 15/02/2024 13:19

Rose or Mabel.

Joelle and Ashley are dreadful.

wallowinginmywellies · 15/02/2024 13:20

all lovely! But I like Josephine best

Workawayxx · 15/02/2024 13:20

Louisa or Lucy for me too.

Parappa · 15/02/2024 13:21

Louisa or Josephine

HuntingoftheSnark · 15/02/2024 13:23

Another for Louisa and Lucy

Firsttimebabymama · 15/02/2024 13:23

Josephine, Joelle and Ashley in that order :)

Waitingfordoggo · 15/02/2024 13:26

Lucy and Josephine are my favourites.

goingrouge · 15/02/2024 13:27

Mabel or Josephine.

EvenedStraw · 15/02/2024 13:32

I feel it's a pity that the name Ashley has fallen out of favour, it's so lovely. But I get it, it's dated.

Lucy is my favourite- one of my favourite ever names! Love Rose too. Louisa is also nice. I have a soft spot for the name Mabel too, although I think it’s a bit marmite so I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to use it!

I love Josie, just not quite so keen on Josephine.

Celeste and Ashley are ok names just not my usual taste.

I’m not keen on Joelle.

MaloneMeadow · 15/02/2024 13:34

Celeste 100%

Lucy
Celeste
Rose
Joelle
Ashley
Louisa
Josephine
Mabel

My favorite is Mabel

WaltzingWaters · 15/02/2024 13:35

Rose or Josephine (Josie)

Joolsin · 15/02/2024 13:35

I like Mabel. Rose is nice but I prefer Rosa. Like the nickname Effie for Josephine. I don't like any of the other names and think Joelle is really bad - 1970s country music bad!

Sandysandwich · 15/02/2024 13:37

Rose and Josephine - I like Josie

RestingPassportFace · 15/02/2024 13:38

Lucy
Celeste
Rose
Joelle
Ashley
Louisa
Josephine
Mabel

These three but I like the other spelling of Luisa and tréma on the e of Joëlle

CJ4713 · 15/02/2024 13:39

Lucy- like
Celeste- its ok
Rose-like
Joelle- I think of a struggling country Western singer for some reason. Maybe I'm thinking of the name Joline, but I don't like either name.
Ashley- not keen, and might get spelt Ashleigh
Louisa- Lovely and my favourite from your list
Josephine- 4 syllables, so will likely have a nn. Dont't like it.
Mabel- Good for a dog, but not keen on for a human name.

ShoesoftheWorld · 15/02/2024 13:42

Love Lucy and Louisa. Josephine's OK. Not keen on the rest. Rose is done to death, and I much prefer Rosa. Ashley is very strikingly unlike your others - it's unisex (IMO), and not in a good way tbh.

it is not a nice name - it is a name you give to signify dedicating a child to mother earth - you only do this to appease her if she is claiming your children anyway. You dig up all previous dead children and rebury them face down, and name the next child Ashly, Eartha, Cley or similar to cast a spell. Nasty origin of name, even though it sounds nice

pinkpale · 15/02/2024 13:44

Celeste

Growlybear83 · 15/02/2024 13:45

Lucy, Louis, or Josephine. Celeste makes me think of the elephant in the Babar stories, and it's just downright cruel to call a child Mabel. 😆

HotToes · 15/02/2024 13:47

Rose but What about Marabella
