International Girl Names

I would like to know what names you think are good internationally? Traditional names for my country don't work so well elsewhere, but at least they have to work in Russian and English, it would be great if they work well in Spain too though it's not essential. Thank you.

Maria works in all three I think? What about a variation on Maria - Marianna for instance?

I always think Anna is the ultimate international girls name.

mihele · 12/02/2024 08:35

Anna is the type of name we want but it is unusable for us. Sofija (Sofia) has been used. Thank you for the great suggestions. I really like Mila.

Check the pronunciation in each language and that the name doesn't have any off-putting meaning in one of them.

Spain and Russia both have a lot of Christian saints names, especially if you go to the Bible or early Church (before the Orthodox- Catholic split). That's where I'd look, and then whittle down to names where the spelling and pronunciation are close enough for your liking.
