Found out we're having another girl. Name meanings are important to me. My daughter's name has a lovely meaning and would love the sibling to also have positive connotations.

Names we're considering are:

Harriet
Lucinda
Beatrice/Beatrix

Middle names:
Delilah
Pearl
Or a combo of the ones we like for first names

My daughter's name is Annabel.
What do you think of our choices, any others to suggest?

P.s Charlotte and Felicity are no go as we have people close to us with those names.
TIA

Lucinda Faye
Lucinda Jane
Lucinda Rachael
Lucinda Joanne
Lucinda Charis
Lucinda Grace
Lucinda Violet
Lucinda Eliza
Lucinda Amy
Lucinda Margaret
Lucinda Sarah

Is pearl off the list then?

I go Delilah then, not because I particularly love it but I think it’s lovely to use siblings choice

My Harriet is now pregnant with her first. I still love her name, Harriet, Hattie, Hats, H. It's a good name.

Nocoffeenotalkie · 02/03/2024 17:35

He prefers Lucinda. My DD1 (very large age gap) likes Lucy, Cici etc as nicknames so is happy.
We're struggling for a middle name that flows nicely with it. I liked Lucinda Pearl but DH does not.

My husband isn't keen on Pearl :-(

Sorry but neither am I 😥

Lucinda is less my taste but it does go so well with Annabel. Both are very feminine/pretty/slightly frilly sounding ( as not a simple as just Anna or Lucy) ,fairly underused names.

I actually prefer more classic Beatrice as a name though, it’s a tough one!

Harriet has a harsher sound than Annabel so it’s a no from me even though it’s a classic. Would make a great middle name choice - it “toughens up” a frillier first name imo

Really not as keen on your middle name choices - Pearl is too hipster retro for me and Delilah a bit trendy too ( although a pretty sound).

So Beatrice Harriet, 2nd choice Lucinda Harriet for me. Although do you like Juliet? Similar to Harriet, but slightly softer imo and works well with Annabel.

Okay missed Lucinda had been picked.

Does Lucinda Beatrice not work with surname? Agree Lucinda Blythe has a lovely meaning.
