Boys name help

What are peoples thoughts on alliteration? We are having a boy, thought we were set on a name but there isn’t anything we both LOVE. Not sure if it’s just doubts in the final few weeks. Our surname is Fisher - any boys names you think particularly go well. Not overly bothered about it being too popular but would prefer outside the top 20.

Jude - won’t use as the last three boy babies I know have been called this
Alfred - Alf - but really don’t like Alfie
Gabriel - too biblical?
Finley - probably one of my faves but is it too much with out surname - Finn - too fish related or am I being ridiculous?

I like Sebastian the best. Second choice is Gabriel.

i prefer the ‘Casper’ spelling but either way there’s a lot of ‘er’ with Fisher.

I do think Finley Fisher is too much. Alf Fisher doesn’t really work either, the ‘f’s’ blend in.
I like Gabriel, think it goes well with your surname too. Wouldn’t say it’s too biblical as it had become quite mainstream now.
I love Caspar and it sounds fine with surname, if it’s your favourite you should go for that!

My personal favourites from your list are Sebastian and Maximilian, both sound great with fisher too.

I quite like Gabriel - Gabe is a cool short version.

I personally don’t really like Fred or Finley with Fisher.

I don’t mind Caspar, it’s just not my usual taste.

I’m not keen on Alfred, sorry, especially you’re not keen on Alfie.

I quite like alliterative names, one of my kids has one, not on purpose, just because we loved that first name. And I love the name Finley, but it will likely be shortened to Finn, and Finn Fisher sounds a bit jokey.

Sebastian Fisher sounds nice. Shortened to Seb also sounds ok. Max Fisher sounds a bit dull. The rest I really don't like. Finley Fisher is terrible 😁

Caspar reminds me of the ghost 👻

Caspar Fisher is OK, but the rhymey ending isn’t the best

I would go for Gabriel - it’s popular-ish so you don’t need to worry about it being too biblical and Gabe Fisher sounds nice.

Second choice Sebastian - Seb also sounds good. Don’t just call him Seb though, it’s too nicknamey.

Max Fisher does slightly make me think of a bloke with a giant carp, Freddie Fisher sounds like a comedy character, Alfred is way overdone and Jude is going that way.

Gabriel is lovely, I would choose that. Gabe Fisher is v cool and I don't think you need to worry about it being too religious. I also like Sebastian.

I think there are some clear winners in Gabriel and Sebastian. I love Caspar and I don’t think it rhymes with our surname but also agree it doesn’t ‘look’ great with similar endings and both being two syllables.

Whereas Sebastian and Gabriel both having three flow better.

Gabriel and Sebastian are fantastic names that go very well with your surname.

I love Gabriel and Sebastian, too.

Out of your names I really like Gabriel. That was on my list for DS.
