Boycie was a nickname based on the character's surname, I think. I certainly never came across anyone else called that despite living in cockney land all my life.
Are you looking for names like Reggie, Vince, Terry? 60's gangster type names?

Deafening · 03/02/2024 16:57

Boycie was apparently Herman.

Derek.

These names are very fashionable now.

CorylusAgain · 03/02/2024 16:59

Rodney and Ronnie (Ronald) aren't inherently cockney though.

Boycie isn't a name! You can't call a child Boycie.

The actual cockneys I know, born in the sound of Bow Bells, are called Ian, John, Adrian, Fred and Maude.

Boycie is a nickname, because his surname was Boyce.
