Boys names thoughts?

Hello! Just after some thoughts on our boys list and any other similar names we may not have thought of. Thanks!

Caleb
Seth
Eugene
Gabriel
Otis

I like Seth, Gabriel and Otis but not keen on the others.

Like: Caleb
Not keen: Gabriel (Too long. Gay? Gabe?), Seth (too hissy), Rufus (seems like a dog's name)
Don't like: Otis, Eugene (they sound like kids tv cartoon animals)

Caleb and Seth are ok. The others really aren't my style, especially Eugene.

Seth would get my vote.

In my opinion -
Seth and Gabriel are nice.
Rufus, Caleb and Otis are ok.
I’m not keen on Eugene.

I like Otis and Rufus!

How about Reuben, Quentin or Fabian?

Oh, and I strongly dislike Seth and struggle to pronounce it.

I like Rufus and Gabriel. Not the others.

Gabriel- Gave us nice, Gay not so much
Rufus is a dogs name

•Rufus + Otis - Dog names! Awful for a child
•Seth - Really like and quite unusual, I’ve only ever known one
•Eugene - nice-ish name but not a fan, feels too middle aged man to me
•Caleb - love it!
•Gabriel - too biblical for me, just makes me instantly think of the angel but it depends on the style you’re going for

How is it difficult to pronounce? It’s literally just Beth with an S

Beth is much easier - think about where your tongue is when you pronounce the B before the TH

With Seth my tongue really struggles

Hehe ok mostly not fans then! That’s ok. I do love some of the suggestions, especially Reuben and Ethan

Love Caleb from your list. Agree with PP that Seth could be a bit difficult to pronounce.

Rufus - ok, maybe Rupert as alternative suggestion
Caleb - ok
Seth - love
Eugene - completely different feel to other names, much older and rarer name, to be honest, not keen
Gabriel - not bad,
Otis - dislike, think of lift manufacturer when I hear this name

Really don't like Rufus, Gabriel and especially not Eugene.

Caleb, Seth and Otis not so bad.
Don't know if it bothers you but Otis has been really really popular round here over the last 2 - 3 years.

Eugene somehow reminds me of dim inbred people sitting on a porch playing ukuleles.

Otis is definitely my favourite from your list! I know 2 and they are delightful!

I like Caleb but none of the others.

Seth - the hairy old poacher from Emmerdale

Eugene and Gabriel are too Walking Dead for me

Rufus - something makes me think this is a derogatory military nickname?

Oh and Otis makes me think of ear wax 🙈
