Ok so we already have a Bobby, DS2 will arrive in a few months. I love the name Billy but “Bobby and Billy” does that sound…… silly?

I can’t fully decide but I think they are probably too similar although for some reason they don’t really sound the same despite being very similar

HelpMeGetThrough · 28/01/2024 22:03

Love both those names.

MaloneMeadow · 28/01/2024 22:10

Yes, definitely sounds silly and intentional

hattie43 · 28/01/2024 22:14

Sounds like two dogs not children

Underhisi · 29/01/2024 08:27

I like them together as nicknames for Robert and William but I think they are a bit cutesy together as full names although I think Billy is the right sort of style to go with Bobby.

theduchessofspork · 29/01/2024 15:57

I like it but it IS cutesy - so they might not later on

But if he’s William nn Billy he can change it to Will later if he wants (or Liam..)

Onelife2024 · 29/01/2024 16:33

They are similar styles, so I can see why you like them both. I think it’s fine if they are shortenings for Robert and William as they can change to Rob / Will etc if becomes an issue.

Our dog is called Billy and one of his many nicknames is Billy Bobby 😂. Obviously I love the name Billy but I think it’s too similar and will get mixed up when you’re calling them.

SkaneTos · 29/01/2024 22:22

I think it sounds cute!

Exactly what I was going to say.
