Demelza Tamsin - I like Demelza, it's different. I love Tamsin. I taught a Tamsin Pearl, lovely.
Matthew Neil - Matthew is a favourite of mine, it's classic. I'm not keen on Neil ( unless you're honouring someone, then fine !)
Richard James - I like both, but prefer James as a first name ( another name I love)
Rosalind Grace - beautiful
Fiona Eleanor - Fiona is a little dated to me. I love Eleanor ( I have a niece Eleanor and I named her ).

DuchessOfSausage · 27/01/2024 19:38

Demelza Tamsin - Demelza is a place name and bit naff as a name, Tamsin's lovely. I'd swap them round
Matthew Neil - fine, I'd guess the Neil is after the father or grandfather
Richard James - fine but James is a bit of a go to middle name. I'd swap them round.
Rosalind Grace - fine but Grace is an overused middle name
Fiona Eleanor - fine

I really think Demelza Tasmin is a very interesting concept as it antithesises against the western culture and it would bring awareness to foreign cultures.

SueBranchers · 27/01/2024 20:00

Is Demelza foreign? Sorry if that is offensive LOL just wondering. I love Rosalind Grace, I think the two names complement eachother brilliantly! 🥰❤️

AnaliaBranchers · 27/01/2024 20:06

@SueBranchers They are Caucasoid names from the land of Cornwall.

Previousreligion · 27/01/2024 20:18

I like Demelza. Makes me think Poldark.
I love Fiona but not particularly with Eleanor. I prefer Fiona Tamsin.
Rosalind Grace - I know too many children called variations of Rose and with Grace as a middle name. It's pretty but dull to me.

Boys names are fine.

DuchessOfSausage · 27/01/2024 20:26

Demelza - Wikipedia

Onelife2024 · 27/01/2024 20:50

Demelza Tamsin - I hadn’t heard the name Demelza before but it could grow on me, especially with the shortening Demi. Prefer Tamsin Demelza though.

Matthew Neil - great name - Matthew is due a come back I think

Richard James - nice but prefer James Richard

Rosalind Grace - love this

Fiona Eleanor - Not keen on Fiona. Eleanor is nice but overused.

bigfatcarrotcruncher · 27/01/2024 20:53

I like Demelza! Never heard of it

DuchessOfSausage · 27/01/2024 20:58

@bigfatcarrotcruncher , it's the name of a hamlet in Cornwall used by the novelist Winston Graham for a character in the Poldark books. The books were serialised on TV in the 1970s and 2010s.

NuffSaidSam · 27/01/2024 21:00

I like Grace and Eleanor best from the girls names. I'd promote them to first name status. Not keen on the others, Rosalind would be my pick of the first names. Rosalind Grace is nice.

The boys names are all a bit meh in comparison with the girls names. All fine. I like James best and Neil the least.

theduchessofspork · 27/01/2024 22:50

Fiona and Richard - they stand out without being wacky

I do quite like Demelza but I’m not sure I’d want to be called it and I’d worry about it being shortened to Delly or Del (Del girl?)

Matthew is a bit dull.. I like Michael though oddly

Rosalind will just end up Rosa/Rose or Rosie and there are so many of them

Whatever drugs you’re on I’d love to have some!

Mumofgirls2017 · 28/01/2024 11:14

Rosalind grace, Matthew neil

Pemba · 28/01/2024 12:53

I agree with Rosalind and Matthew, very nice.

Nothing wrong with Richard, but I am not sure if we are ready for a revival.

Fiona is OK. Demelza is just far too Poldark.

peaceinourtime · 28/01/2024 13:26

Demelza is nice, I’ve only known one from primary school. It’s lovely.

Doublebiscuit77 · 29/01/2024 11:56

I love Tamsin and Rosalind as first names. Eleanor or Fiona fine as middle names.
Slight preference to Matthew over Richard.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/01/2024 12:00

Demelza Tamsin - not to my taste at all
Matthew Neil - don’t like Neil but it’s unlikely to be used much as a middle name
Richard James - the name of an estate agents near me so that’s all I can think of
Rosalind Grace - don’t like Rosalind
Fiona Eleanor - this is my favourite from your list.
