Our favourite name sounds very similar to our names! Does it matter?

Not our actual names obviously but we both have long names that are shortened. Our shortened names sound similar but have a different look / letters, like the ones below.

Danny
Annie
Stanley

or,

Maisie
Casey
Sadie

Our absolute favourite name looks very different to our names (both shortened and full name) but sounds similar when said.

What would you do? Does it really matter?

I feel like it would probably look intentional so it depends whether that bothers you or not.

Dan, Anne and Stan might look intentional, but they're all nice names.

Maisie, Casey and Daisy might be a bit too much, but Sadie is fine.

It isn't a big deal imo but may be a bit annoying when you're trying to say the name quickly Ann...I mean...Dan...I mean Stanley!

I know brothers called Alistair and Oliver and it always comes out Alliver or Ollister 😄

My husband really liked a name for one of ours that rhymes with the name I'm called. He couldn't see why it was a problem until I said them all as a list. Then he saw.

I don't think it matters, choose the name you love!
Some people might notice the similarities, though, and find it interesting (I would), but it doesn't matter. I will just be a fun/cool thing about your family.

It could possibly give off a slightly twee vibe, but it’s not a big deal - you might want to ring the changes if you had a 4th one.
