Baby girl due in a couple of months.

Housewife2010 · 12/01/2024 22:58

Pretty. The heroine in the fabulous Flambards.

Glittering1 · 12/01/2024 22:58

My DD14 middle name is Chrissie after her Great Grandmother who was called Christina but nickname was Chrissie.

Tracker1234 · 12/01/2024 22:59

I prefer the full pronunciation of Christina. Sounds rather glamorous.

Onelife2024 · 12/01/2024 23:01

Yes lovely

Theoldwoman · 12/01/2024 23:01

I like it.

Sundaysunshine21 · 12/01/2024 23:02

It’s nice, I can’t think of any obvious negative associations.

It’s in the sweet spot of being fairly unusual but also well known and classic. It’s pretty but not cutesy, it would definitely be fine for an adult in any profession.

It may well be shortened to Chris, Chrissie or Tina, so you might want to consider that.

Tracker1234 · 12/01/2024 23:02

Have you thought of spelling it Kristina or Cristina?

piglet81 · 12/01/2024 23:02

I really like it! Makes a nice change from the millions of Evies and Avas.

PickledMuffin · 12/01/2024 23:02

Beautiful name 🥰

theduchessofspork · 12/01/2024 23:05

I quite like it but I really don’t like Chris so I wouldn’t.

Have you thought of spelling it Kristina or Cristina?

What would be the point of that?

DramaAlpaca · 12/01/2024 23:06

Gorgeous name. The only negative for me is that I thoroughly dislike Tina.

Hobbesmanc · 12/01/2024 23:07

It's a lovely regal name. I love Christie or Chrissie to. But not Tina please lol.

Tracker1234 · 12/01/2024 23:08

To make it slightly unusual especially Kristina

LadyWithLapdog · 12/01/2024 23:08

I like it. I also like the song Christina The Astonishing by Nick Cave.

Brightredtulips · 12/01/2024 23:09

Christina of Flambards. Love it, beautiful. May get shortened to Christie.

tsmainsqueeze · 12/01/2024 23:10

Lovely , classic and elegant ,i love Christie but dislike Chris , no need to use a 'different' spelling though !

FayCarew · 12/01/2024 23:12

Cristina is the Italian spelling. Kristina looks wrong
Christina is fine as it is

but this is MN so I'll throw in 'Have you thought of Christiana, Christalle Christielle, Krystina...?'

user1492757084 · 13/01/2024 04:09

Christina is lovely as it is..
Christina Meg
Christina Dawn
Christina Charlotte
Christina Winsome

Billlio · 13/01/2024 09:05

I really like it, I think it sounds really fresh for a little one these days.

There’s a YouTuber with a daughter called Valentina and they call her Teeny at home which I think is so sweet for when they are little - could work for Christina too!

Lisbeth50 · 13/01/2024 09:15

Christina is lovely. I know one who is known as Tina for short which I don't like though. Chrissie/Christie are much nicer.

Younique spellings are just dopey though, and a PITA for the person who has to endlessly spell their name
