I love Clara but it’s really popular, if that bothers you or not. Adelaide is the only other one I like out of your list.

Like Felix, Alexander, Finn and Samuel but I know 8 Samuels! Most of them are in the same year at school. I also know several Jude’s. Nice name though.

Onelife2024 · 06/01/2024 08:26

I love Nina, Clara and Erin. Faye is quite nice. Frida I’m not sure about - it could grow on me. I’m not keen on Adelaide or Delphine.

I really love Benjamin, Samuel, Alexander and Maxwell. Finn is nice too. Felix and Jude are ok but not so much to my taste.

GenXisthebest · 06/01/2024 08:30

My favourites are Clara, Erin, Benjamin and Alexander.

I prefer Adeline to Adelaide, and just Max to Maxwell.

Least favourites are Delphine, Frida and Finn.

VerbenaGirl · 06/01/2024 08:37

That’s a really nice selection of names. I can see why you’re struggling!

I particularly like Nina, Adelaide & Frida and Benjamin, Samuel & Jude.

Sleepnplay · 06/01/2024 09:52

I love Nina and Delphine from your girls list, Erin is nice too.

I like all your boys list, Felix less so, but it's still nice.

Faves would be Nina and Alexander

eandz13 · 06/01/2024 09:55

Nina and Faye are lovely.
Alexander by a mile from the boys list, great name.

NuffSaidSam · 06/01/2024 09:58

1st Choice: Nina and Jude

2nd Choice: Clara and Finn

It's a great list. I like all of your boys names except Maxwell. Sam/Ben/Alex all great names but a little bit meh due to popularity.

wineymummy · 06/01/2024 09:58

Delphine is really pretty but I just hear Delphine Donkey. Granted probably only a short term problem.

Amdone123 · 06/01/2024 10:01

I love your girls names, if I had to choose 1 it would be Erin.
Love your boys names ( apart from Maxwell) - I'd choose Alexander.

theduchessofspork · 06/01/2024 10:05

Frieda or Alexander

Nina - bit nothing-y.

Erin - ok, bit 90s

Delphine - too close to dolphin. Delores?
Faye - too fay/fairy/drippy. Fern?
Clara - love it, quite popular
Adelaide - like it, quite popular
Frida - love it, and not overdone. Prefer Frieda spelling

Maybe..
Lois
Stella
Clio
Ida
Oona
Cassia
Adela
Cecile
Marianne
Genevieve

Boys:

Benjamin - nice classic
Samuel - ditto
Felix - I don’t like it, but it’s fine
Alexander - my favourite, but very popular with Alex as nn - Sacha, Sandy or Alec would be more unusual

Maxwell - no, coffee. But Maximilian, Maximus and Maxim are all nice
Finn - nice but very overdone right now
Jude - going the same way as Finn

For something a bit more unusual, maybe
Nicholas (Nico)
Alistair
Daniel - fewer Dans than Sams and Bens
Guy
Patrick
Laurence
Corin
Fabian
Joss
Joel

BoleynMemories13 · 06/01/2024 11:09

Finn and Jude are two of my favourite boys names, although I do like most of your boy's list.

Your girl's list isn't so much to my taste but I do like Erin. Nina and Clara would be my next picks (although I prefer Lara to Clara, personally).

StillWantingADog · 06/01/2024 11:15

Good list!

from your list my favourites are Clara and Finn but nothing makes me think “no”. Delphine is good and easy to spell for a French name but I do wonder if it’s a bit old fashioned in France

people say Clara is popular but I haven’t come across a single one round here (NW) and that's working with young kids.

Coffeespill · 06/01/2024 11:17

Mason?

Willmafrockfit · 06/01/2024 11:17

Girls:

Nina - like it
Erin like it
Delphine like it
Faye like it
Clara like it
Adelaide - not my type
Frida - could like it

Boys:

Benjamin yes
Samuel yes
Felix yes
Alexander
Maxwell
Finn
Jude

MonkeyHarold · 06/01/2024 11:20

All good names. My favourites from your list are Delphine and Finn.

Your boys names are all very popular/overused/dull in comparison.

Girls:

Nina - nice
Erin - nice
Delphine - quite like this actually. How about Daphne? Due a revival IMO
Faye - OK, not hugely keen
Clara - lovely, best of the lot
Adelaide - no
Frida - hmm. Not sure if I like or dislike it.

Boys:

Benjamin - OK
Samuel - nice
Felix - another one I half-like, half-dislike
Alexander - nice. How about Alexei, for something a bit different?
Maxwell - big no. But I like Maxim
Finn - bit overdone
Jude - OK

ShoesoftheWorld · 06/01/2024 12:49

In response to a PP, I definitely think Delphine in France is in the same sort of category as Eileen/Doreen/Susan here, but that's no reason not to use it.

Other suggestions:

Sally
Alison
Anna
Laura (so, so underused these days)

Simon
Matthias (pronounced Matt-e-as)
Hector

1SurreyMum · 06/01/2024 12:51

My favourites:

Delphine nn Fifi
Clara (but very popular where I am)
Adelaide nn Heidi

Boys:

Benjamin nn Ben / Benji
Alexander nn Alex / Xander
Maxwell
