Well, I clicked on this thinking it was about acting 🎭.

WhereIsBebèsChambre · 27/12/2023 00:54

Thought it was about the school!

MotherofAllMatriarchs · 27/12/2023 00:55

As per PP I think Sylvia Young will be a strong association for most! That might not put you off though. Pretty names both

MerryChristmasToYou · 27/12/2023 12:06

I read it as Kirsty Young or Sylvia YoungSmile

Neither. Kira will be Keira/Kiera/Ciara
and Sylvie sounds too much like Sylvia

Previousreligion · 27/12/2023 13:07

I love Sylvie but agree that Sylvia Young is a strong association.

SkaneTos · 28/12/2023 00:16

(I don't know any of the associations the previous posters are talking about, but I am not from the United Kingdom.)

I think both those name sound nice!
The name Kira would be my favourite of those two names, it reminds me of the name Kyra, and I know a nice lady with that name.

I love Sylvie and I wouldn't worry about the associations, they are only positive as far as I can see. Other than people exclaiming what a coincidence there isn't anything else to say. Most kids in school would never have heard of the school for example. So I would still use it if you really like it.
