Sister name for Camille

We are expecting a second baby girl next year and have narrowed our names down to two choices for a sister for our daughter, Camille.

Isabelle or Chloe.

Camille and Chloe is sweet but the only thing is our last name also ends with an “ee” sound. Is this an issue or not really?

Camille goes well with Chloe and Isabelle.
I prefer Chloe.
The surname consideration - If the end sound is all that is similar it is fine.
Camille and Chloe Pinallee - fine
Camille and Chloe Bowie - not fine.

I would vote Isabelle, but honestly I think Camille is stunning and i’m not sure either stands up to it!

PickledScrump · 08/12/2023 18:53

I’m not a fan of matching initials and Chloe seems quite dated to me.

Isabelle is lovely, I love that spelling

MaloneMeadow · 08/12/2023 19:00

Camille and Chloe and too matchy for me, always find it really cringe when siblings have similar names!

Isabelle is lovely, personally prefer the Isabel spelling though as it has a classier and more timeless feel to it

Francine?

FH27 · 08/12/2023 19:03

I know sisters called Camille, Gabrielle and Cecelia and I always think those names are all stunning together.

Hibambinos · 08/12/2023 19:04

Emily goes with camille

theduchessofspork · 09/12/2023 08:47

They are both nice.

I’d go for Isabelle as the other option is a bit matchy matchy Kardashian

Camille and Isabelle sound beautiful together.

I know siblings called Camille and Amelie which I think works well.

I like isabelle but chloe not so much.

Biscuitsneeded · 09/12/2023 14:36

Not Chloe. It's a bit dated. Isabelle is nice but there are lots. I'd put Camille with Sylvie, Juliette or Marianne.

featherlampshade · 09/12/2023 14:40

Nina :)

BigBoysDontCry · 09/12/2023 14:41

I don't like Chloe so my vote has to be Isabelle.

I prefer Celeste or Estelle to either.

GreyTS · 09/12/2023 14:42

Camille and Charlotte
Camille & Zoë

peaceinourtime · 09/12/2023 15:33

They’re both fine, my preference is Isobel

Seamist22 · 09/12/2023 17:10

I love Chloe :)

atthebottomofthehill · 09/12/2023 17:13

Isabelle is so ubiquitous, it's dull. Camille is such a lovely name in comparison. I guess Chloe is the better option, but what about something similarly lovely to Camille such as Apolline?

Newsenmum · 09/12/2023 17:30

Isabelle goes a lot better but I agree it’s a bit dull compared to Camille. What about other French names?

wite · 09/12/2023 17:43

Chloe is dated and hasn't aged well imo.

Isabelle is nice but very plain next to Camille.

ClubTropDeVin · 09/12/2023 18:06

Out of the two, I prefer Chloe. Other suggestions that keep the French theme:

Elodie
Adeline
Amandine
Elise
Margot
Emmeline
Esme

ChocolateCinderToffee · 09/12/2023 22:53

Chloes are ten a penny whereas Camille is quite unusual. How about Laetitia or Clara?

sonrisa · 09/12/2023 22:58

It's Camille and Madeleine.
