Middle name for Jude

Hi everyone,

We really want a family middle name for our son. Edward is the name we've always wanted whatever the first name especially now our Edward is quite ill. Other name we like is Anthony. Last name begins with a G so is JEG and JAG silly? Does it matter? Which middle name do you prefer?

I like both, and they are examples of names that get shortened. By having it as a middle name, it won't.
Jude Anthony Surname flows better.
Initials are ok, but they might get nicknamed Jeggy or Jaggy or something

I think Anthony has a better flow.

Jude Anthony is lovely. Jude Edward is a bit Jedward for me, but maybe just my association. You could save Edward for a first name if you have another little boy in the future.

Jude Edward is best for me.
Edward is so handsome if he hates Jude.
I love the Jedward sound. Nick name Jed.

Janthony is not as fun. Jan - no.

Maybe Jant or Ant if he hates Jude.

If you've ruled out 'the dude' as a middle name then I'd go for Anthony because it flows better. Both nice names though.

I like the name Jude together with Edward!

If it has special meaning to you, I think you should use Edward as a middle name.

Jude Edward sounds like Ju Dedward
