Caleb?

I feel like it's not overly common but is normal and a name people will of heard of. I think it's beautiful but my mum says it's boring.. bland. Just wanted others opinions?

I only know one teenage Caleb. No one younger. I don’t think it’s boring at all.

It’s my one year old’s name and I don’t know any other child with that name! Certainly not bland or boring. I always thought it sounded very handsome and strong. :)

It's a good solid name. Don't tell family your name ideas as it's your baby and don't let them influence your decision. 💓

You don't hear Caleb much anymore but it's not dated either. I think it's a great choice.

I don't think it is boring or bland and I don't know any. Personally I dislike the sound of it because I don't like the "eb" ending (I don't like Jacob either), but it's a perfectly good name.

People's opinions will always be guided by their own experiences. I understand that, statistically, Caleb is in the lower half of the top 100 in England and Wales so probably doesn't feel overly popular to most. However, at my school there seems to be one in most year groups, oddly enough, so my initial reaction is 'not another one' (especially as some of the ones I know are right pains!). Yet on threads asking about names such as Lily, Ava, Theo etc everyone seems to say they're 'overused' (and I understand the statistics do suggest there are many), yet here I am thinking those names would make a refreshing change to the Harper, Luna, Aria, Caleb, Roman, Arlo that I'm sick of hearing around me 😂

Basically, if you love it go for it. But it's hard for everyone to agree on a general consensus as to how popular a name in the top 100 feels, as some names are much more popular in some areas than they are in others. Caleb happens to be one I'm sick to death of, personally, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't use it as it's likely to be a totally different story where you are!

I think it’s a lovely name. Not common, yet not so unusual that no one’s heard of it. Also, it’s a nice name for a child and a grown man too
