Which of these do you prefer and why?

Anna, Heidi, Jane, Lily.

Anna - classic name, timeless,

Anna and Heidi both classic and lovely.

The other two, plain Jane

There are 3 lily's in DD class

Anna.

Jane is too dull.
Lily is too popular.
Heidi is to try hard.

Anna is an underused classic. It's sophisticated but offers Annie as a cutsey nn when she's little.

Anna.
Heidi is my car's name. I know several 60 something Janes. I don't like Lil as a shortening.

Any other ideas? :) I quite like Maria

Anna - lovely.
Heidi - a bit of a marmite name.
Jane - no. Plain Jane.
Lily - ok.

Heidi is sweet, Anna classic, elegant and cool

lily is a bit overdone atm and Jane a bit dated perhaps.

Jane is fresh and rare. Anna and lily are very over used. Heidi is okay.

Anna-Maria

It was my doll’s name when I was a child and I always wanted to use it. I’m not a fan of names with a hyphen except for classic hyphenated names like this.

I love short, neat, simple names so Anna, Jane and Lily fit the bill beautifully.

Heidi isn't in that mould, it's sickly twee and in no way a classic.

Maria is nice too.

I like Anna and Heidi best.

Lily is overdone imo. I work in schools and there are so many. I have too many bad associations with the name to like it.

I find Jane a bit boring.

My favourite name you've mentioned though is Maria! I love it. If my ds had been a dd, he was going to be Maria Juliet

Anna, it's a classic but not overused now.

Lily is very popular, for both children and dogs.
Heidi reminds me of goat herders
Jane is too plain.

Used to be plain but now it feels fresh and classic.
I also like Heidi.
Anna and Lily are nice but heavily used in recent years.

Heidi is my favourite, with Anna a close second.

Anna - my favourite, very timeless and elegant

Heidi - marmite, not a huge fan. Gives me the image of a shy girl

Lily - overused

(Plain) Jane - so boring. Keep it in the 70s where it belongs!

Anna- absolutely beautiful and so classy. My favourite.

Heidi- pretty name and unusual enough to stand out

Lily- Apart from being overused in itself, thare now so many Lila/Lyra/Lilia/Lola type names. Lily also hit #1 around 18 years ago, so a Lily now will have a name that ages her by a decade or so. Ask any Sharon born in the late 70s rather than the boom of the 60s.
Also I find flowers are personal and would hate to be named after a flower I ended up not particularly loving as an adult.
Jane- surely due a revival. To me it's 60s model vibe. It's also quite posh.

Heidi is nice but people will ask if you have Alpine connections.

Jane - not quite ready for a come back- plain Jane, super brain.

Lily - lovely but lots of them and similar to the tons to Lily, Milly, Amily, type names

Anna or Lily (depends where you live, I actually know more girls called Anna than Lily but it's a ery multi cultural area).

Jane is lovely as a middle name but dull and dated as a first name (plain Jane).

Heidi is far too twee for me - Hi de hi campers! I wouldn't want to be called Heidi.

Anna and Lily are pretty names.

Jane sounds dull (it's my middle name - never liked it)

Heidi and Maria are OK but not as pretty sounding.

Jane - like it for its simplicity. Dislike Jayne with a passion.
Anna - like it but know many of them, prefer just Ann (no e)
Heidi - ok
Lily - overused

I like Jane how about Joan or Jean?

I like Anna the best. It was my childhood best friend's name. Heidi and Lily were the names of a friend's dogs, and just make me think of overweight dribbly little dogs 😆😆
