Which looks right to you?

For a human or a mouse?

user1492757084 · 07/11/2023 10:19

Mike, Michael and Mick.

SallyWD · 07/11/2023 10:19

Mickey

Bendysnap · 07/11/2023 10:20

Is it pronounced Mickey like the mouse or Mike-y like a nn for Michael?

twilightcafe · 07/11/2023 10:25

Neither.

Are you taking the mickey?

He's not going to thank you when he's a grown man with a name like that.

AnnaMagnani · 07/11/2023 10:18

For a human or a mouse?

🤣

Slipknotted · 07/11/2023 10:38

’Yes, I would absolutely call my baby a well-known slang term for penis!’

Or no, rethink.

MrsSkylerWhite · 07/11/2023 10:39

Not usually judgemental about names but can’t stand either. Sounds like a dodgy geezer 😁

jellytots18 · 07/11/2023 12:59

Pronounced as in the mouse.

With respect, I am not asking for opinions on the name, only which spelling looks better, sorry if I didn't make that clear :) xx

I prefer Michael with Mikey as the nickname.

FayCarew · 07/11/2023 14:27

Anyone else thinking Hey Mickey by Toni Basil?

AnnaMagnani · 07/11/2023 14:40

@FayCarew Well I am now! And probably will for the rest of the day it's such an ear worm.

FayCarew · 07/11/2023 15:01

@AnnaMagnani , I was tempted to post a link to the video. Grin

Micky is fine. Mickey is too mouse.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 07/11/2023 20:41

Michael.
Mickey for nn. Or Mikey.

mydogspooeybum · 07/11/2023 20:42

Neither

WeeOrcadian · 07/11/2023 20:43

Neither. Don't lumber your kid with a bloody awful name.

Use a proper name and keep Micky as a nickname.

On a kid - cute
On a grown up - hideous

ElevenSeven · 07/11/2023 20:44

Neither.

gotomomo · 07/11/2023 20:44

Mickey even spelt without the e is for ever associated with that mouse. Michael is fine with Micky as a nn

WetBandits · 07/11/2023 20:45

Mickey, if you must.

Although I associate it with the Disney mouse and Brad Pitt’s character in Snatch.

TheBunnyLover · 07/11/2023 20:46

@FayCarew 'Too Mouse' 😂😂

JustWhatWeDontNeed · 07/11/2023 20:48

Micky, but nickname only, not as a given name.

resm · 07/11/2023 21:30

Any Michael I know gets Mickey, with an E. Very popular name for over 40s where I am so definitely won’t sound strange on an adult.

Ssme92 · 07/11/2023 22:12

I prefer Mickey. Lovely name. I think it suits all age groups!
