Hello!

Help us pick a name for Victoria's brother please? We have the following finalists.

  1. James
  2. Edward
  3. George

Please also state a reason why you picked it? Would be really helpful!

I would go for Edward. I think Victoria and Edward go best together out of the 3 boys names there. However, you could pick any of the 3 and theyd go together fine with Victoria. Lovely, classic, timeless names, all of them.

Can also shorten Victoria to Vicky or Tori and Edward to Ed, Eddie or Ted, should you be so inclined!

BoleynMemories13 · 31/10/2023 21:41

I think all 3 are better options than Albert, with a Victoria already.

I prefer George out of the 3 but there's nothing wrong with the other two, it's just my personal preference.

All nice but Edward. As I love the nn teddy

theduchessofspork · 31/10/2023 22:05

They are all nice if very overused - I think I’d go for James as it’s been the least overused recently.

Beautifulsunflowers · 31/10/2023 22:06

Edward. Sounds so lovely with Victoria and also as a stand alone name. I like that you have nn potential too.

RogueFemale · 31/10/2023 22:27

Any of them are good so long as you don't use awful nicknames.

ladygindiva · 31/10/2023 22:33

Can I suggest Robert, Bob for short, purely so you can have a Vic and Bob? Sorry, couldn't resist. Out of your choices, Edward. Love it, loads of choices of abbreviations too: Ed, Eddy, Ted,Teddy,Ned. Great name, would have named one of my kids Edward but never had a boy !

Daisybuttercup12345 · 31/10/2023 22:54

All good names. I would choose James, just because it's my favourite out of the three.

Friarclose · 31/10/2023 23:08

I'm Victoria, my brother is Andrew.

Friarclose · 31/10/2023 23:08

I'm Victoria, my brother is Andrew.

Lampzade · 31/10/2023 23:10

James is the first name that I thought of

Fifthtimelucky · 01/11/2023 00:05

I'd go for Edward as it one of my favourite names and it goes best with Victoria, possibly because the Edwardian era came directly after the Victorian one!

I love James too, so I'd probably use that as a middle name.

MaloneMeadow · 01/11/2023 00:07

James as I love the nickname Jamie!

SkaneTos · 04/11/2023 22:32

They are all nice names! All are royal.

My favourite is Edward. The names Victoria and Edward sound nice together.

Happygerbil · 04/11/2023 22:35
  1. Victor
MerryChristmasToYou · 05/11/2023 06:38

James. I've always liked it.
Edward and George are nice too but George is very popular and the popularity of Teddy puts me off Edward.

whiteroseredrose · 05/11/2023 07:42

I'd pick Edward. I like the name anyway and they both have a royal match.

Mayhemmumma · 05/11/2023 07:47

George is a lovely name

Princessbananahamock · 05/11/2023 07:52

I would have gone with Edward George or Henry.

Edward , I haven’t come across an Edward in primary or secondary recently.

LilyLemonade · 05/11/2023 07:56

All lovely names. I wouldn’t choose George because when you say Victoria and George I don’t like it that they have the same ‘oar’ sound.

Haveyouseenthemuffinman · 05/11/2023 07:59

James because it’s lovely.

user1492757084 · 05/11/2023 08:01

Victoria and Edward but all three are sweet.

Westwindworries · 06/11/2023 07:47

James, but any of the three would be a good choice.

useitorlose · 06/11/2023 07:54

They're all very royal. Maybe something outside those typically used by the royal family, unless that's your vibe.

Crunchymum · 07/11/2023 11:03

Was coming on to say Edward before I read your options.
