Hi all, expecting a baby girl very soon and we’re stuck on a name. DH loves Charlotte but I love Zoe which I think is nice and sparky. What does everyone think?

In this case, I’d prefer Charlotte.
I also feel Zara kinda meshes those two names?

Oganesson118 · 29/10/2023 17:04

I prefer Zoe and just feels like it has more personality. Charlotte is kind of overdone and staid.

Both are lovely but I prefer Charlotte!

Dressinginmygown · 29/10/2023 17:26

I like them both, but would personally use Zoe of the two.

RuthW · 29/10/2023 17:43

Not keen on either but Zoe is dated.

I think both are lovely but prefer Charlotte - timeless + elegant. Also love the nickname Lottie

Like both but prefer Charlotte by a long way. Classic with good nicknames.

I like Charlotte but I love Zoe, plus Charlotte has been a bit overused in recent years.

Zoe is beautiful and timeless, with the meaning 'life', which is lovely.

MerryChristmasToYou · 29/10/2023 18:29

I like both. Which goes best with the surname?
Will you mind if he gets called Charlie, Lottie or Zo?

theduchessofspork · 29/10/2023 19:43

Zoe - it is sparky!

Charlotte is lovely but it is WAY overdone

Theoldwoman · 29/10/2023 21:37

One hundred percent Charlotte.

I don’t like Zoe one bit.

What about Zara?

Daisybuttercup12345 · 29/10/2023 22:20

I love Charlotte. Always see Zoo in Zoe.

BoleynMemories13 · 30/10/2023 01:29

I like both but they're quite different in style.

Have you considered Chloe as a compromise? Personally I prefer either of your current choices but this one blends them together somewhat.

Underhisi · 30/10/2023 11:08

They are both nice but I agree that Zoe is sparky and I like the meaning so would choose that one.

peaceinourtime · 30/10/2023 12:42

Both are nice, I think Zoe pronounced Zo is nicer then Zoe.

MerryChristmasToYou · 30/10/2023 15:17

but it isn't pronounced Zo

Pemba · 30/10/2023 15:19

Yes, pronouncing as Zo is not a thing, is it?
