HELP!

leoe2727 · 29/10/2023 03:26

My son is nearly two weeks old and still nameless! He has a big brother Fred (who occasionally gets called Freddie but is not a Fredrick). Our surname starts with a K and ends in an O sound so names like Leo, Theo etc are a no no because they rhyme.

I feel he needs a strong name. We like the name Barnaby nn Barney but I feel it might be too cute for him.
Any help would be great!!

Jonathan, then you'll be able to take your pick of nicknames.

George classic!

How about a one syllable name to go with Fred.
John - surely due a comeback, be ahead of the curve!
Hugh
George (too Weasley??)
James

Will
Sam
Tom
Max
Joe

I know brothers Fred and Barney. Don’t think the parents have made the flintstones connection 😄

I think you don't want an ee or oo sound at the end of the first name either

DS1 is Alfred nn Freddie and DS2 is Albert shortened to Bertie. I get lots of compliments about their names!!

leoe2727 · 29/10/2023 16:48

I quite like Toby, Bertie, Sid and Lennie but feel like they need longer names?! Do they go with Fred? This is so hard 🫣🫣 Family middle name is Matthew which we hope to use. X
