Baby girl name help!!

missylissy9 · 18/10/2023 17:21

Expecting our 4th child in December, a baby girl!! We already have 3 sons Hugo, Henri and Louis. The middle name is going to be Beatrice after a close family member but we are SO stuck on a first name. I thought after wanting a girl for so long it would be so easy but clearly not! We both like quite traditional names and DH's family speak French so a name that works with that as well (hence the boys names). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

P.S. Has anyone had any experience with a baby name consultant? Do you think it would be worth it??

I love Clemence suggested by someone upthread.

Not when pronounced by people who don't speak French. They tend to murder it

Zélie is a gorgeous French name and would be lovely. Beatrice is a gorgeous middle name as well. I also like Amelie, Cherie, Mathilde and Edith. Congratulations on joining team pink! 💗

I love Genevieve but it is pronounced very differently in the two countries (I actually prefer the French pronunciation but you’re unlikely to get that often in the UK)

Amelie is lovely, although she’d probably get Amelia in error here quite often.

Does Clara work in French? It ‘goes’ with your boys’ names and Clara Beatrice sounds pretty.

I really like both Clementine and Cecile.

I think they both go well with Beatrice.
