Could you do Georgina and use Nina as a shortened version. Not heard of it as a short for gerorgina but don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Great list. I love Georgia and Stella

Vote for Cora here, it's really lovely!

Pemba · 19/10/2023 10:27

I love Nina and Stella, simple, classy, with a slightly quirky vibe.

I like Georgia although I do prefer Georgina, just think it flows a bit better.

Not keen on Cora although it seems to be getting fashionable. Apple cores, as a pp said, plus I think of the weird twin aunts, Cora and Clarice, in Gormenghast. Probably that's quite niche.

CarrieBarryAndGary · 19/10/2023 12:09

Out of those I would rather be called Cora or Nina. I slightly prefer Nina over Cora; however, I would have a slight curiosity regarding her nationality as the Ninas I have encountered have all been Russian.

We are in Scotland and there’s LOADS of Cora

Really? I'm in Scotland too and don't know any!

DD1 is Anna. Is Anna and Nina too much of a mouthful?! 😂 Maybe should have included that in the OP!

Nina is beautiful!

Mummytobe333 · 25/11/2023 06:56

Love the name Cora 💕 was almost our girls name (we chose Thea) but still love the name Cora too!

Vittoriosa · 25/11/2023 08:55

I like Nina or Cora

Cressie2 · 25/11/2023 08:57

Nina or Stella. Both very cool.

AdoraFruitcake · 25/11/2023 08:58

Georgia seems a bit boring compared to the others.

I like the other three very much - strong, feminine, unfussy - but Nina is my favourite.

I love Stella. I grew up near a Stella Maris

I know one from Leicester. It's a beautiful name

LimeOrangeLemon · 25/11/2023 19:25

Cora is my favourite

Seamist22 · 25/11/2023 21:46

Lovely shortlist!

Nina - love it! And not too commonly used either
Georgia - gorgeous
Cora - nice but like Cara even more
Stella - lovely name but I think I’d be hesitant because of the lager

cordelia16 · 26/11/2023 18:20

I love Nina, but not with big sis Anna.
Unless you're a Tolstoy fan: Anna (kare) Nina :)

Of the other three, I like Cora best.

notaephron · 29/11/2023 01:37

Thanks all. Leaning towards Cora, though also thought tonight of Eliza as another one for the shortlist?

Not sure if Anna and Eliza are too close to a certain Disney pairing though!

Does adding Eliza in make a difference to any answers?

Cora
Eliza
Stella
Nina
Georgia
