Brother for Saskia: Max or Felix?

I’m really torn between Max and Felix. DP prefers Max and I’m leaning towards Felix but keep changing my mind! Baby is due any day now so really need to make a decision.

What would you go for?

Sounds like Saskia and Max nasty couple of Big Brother years ago. So maybe Felix but to me Felix is a cat .

Yes I do too. It’s a lovely shortening rather than a full name.

My Saskia's brother is Alex. They go really well together, although I know Alex is a very normal name and a diminutive. But I love the names together - Saskia and Alex.😍

I like Max but they're the characters from Noah and Saskia so wouldn't use it for that reason. Felix is a cat.

Saskia and Alex is lovely and it still gas the X like Max snd Felix.

Felix, although I am hugely biased as that's my son's name 😂 I like that it means happy or lucky. Our LO is a very happy chappy most of the time so it suits him

Wait until he is here with your shortlist of 2 or 3 names. When you see him you will decide.

I prefer Max. Every Felix I've ever met has been a twat, plus Felix is a brand of cat food. 😂🤷‍♀️

I love the name Max but think Saskia & Felix sounds better as a pairing.

@ZeusandClio Saskia and Alex sounds lovely! Sadly Alex does not work with our last name at all so can’t use it.

See to me the ask in Saskia is to similar to the name Max

Max is a dog's name, and Felix is a cat's

Taking all of your points on board. Seems the cat connection is a strong one for a lot
of people. I would still use it though, I reckon.

Love them both 😍 Max and Felix were the last two names on my list and we just knew when he was born that he was a Max, it suits him perfectly. My biggest baby, fastest birth (35 mins from 1st contraction!) and so strong and full of energy from the very first moment! Definitely a Max! Also love Alex as a PP suggested but it is my BIL’s name.

Keep both in mind and see what you think when he’s born, you can’t go wrong!

Felix. Have known three and they have all been wonderful. Loads of Maxs out there - very popular, your son would be Max A, B or C

Saskia and Max is too much of that A sound.

I think Saskia and Felix is a far nicer combination, and I also think Felix is a nicer name than Max.

Other names I think work are Dexter (Dex), Rex, Phoenix.

I’m very bias that I like Max. We chose that as a full name as DH didn’t want a name that could be shortened. We very often lengthen it though and he’s called Maximus or Maximilian as a cutesy name.

I do think Felix goes better though with Saskia
