Help me choose…

Think I like Iris and Elise

also like Sadie, Alice, Ada, Veda, Orla, Cara…

any thoughts?!

My favourite are Iris or Sadie. What about Sylvie?

Alice and Ada are my favourites.

What about Freda?

Prefer Iris to Elise personally.
It's a lovely name.

My girls are called, Iris, Emilia, Violet and Carmen. I would go with Iris 🌈

I love both Iris and Elise. From your list I think Sadie and Alice are both nice. No strong feelings about the others.

I really love the alliteration of using the first two together though, "Iris Elise Surname" sounds pretty.

I really like Sadie, Iris, Ada and Elise.

In a similar vein, how about Nova, Luna and Nina?

I have never heard the name Veda before.

I love Sadie and Cara.

I keep reading Elise as Elsie, but I'm sure that's just me. 😕

I love Iris but it’s become very common for people to and their rainbow babies as it means rainbow, so some people might make that assumption.

Elise is lovely too but likely to become another Ellie.

Sadie I hate, I was in school with a few and all were really rough

Alice is lovely.

Ada isn’t nice

Veda is a bit nothingy

Orla is nice but my phone keeps autocorrecting to oral.

Cara isn’t nice

Iris and Alice are two of my favourite girls names. I really like Ada too.

Sadie and Cara are ok. The others aren't to my taste (Elise is a bit too trendy for me, Orla sounds too much like oral to my ears and I wouldn't even know how to pronounce Veda, way too out there for me.

Out of all of them, Iris wins for me.

From your list Iris, Alice and Ada are my favourites.

I have an Elise , it's never been abbreviated to anything ( she is an adult now ) Sadie is lovely too .

I love Iris, but there are zillions of them, same for Alice and Ada. Elise will end up Ellie, which is also v overused.

I think I like Cara better than Orla or Sadie, and it’s more unusual

Veda is slightly odd, either a bit James Bond or a bit Sanskrit depending on your POV.

I knew an Elyse, bit different spelling but her name was never mistaken for Elsie :)

It's nice @mycatsanutter , much nicer than Elsie.

I get the 'rainbow baby' feeling about Iris too, which puts me off the name.

Iris - bit of a granny name to me, not a fan

Elise - love it, timeless and elegant, nice nickname possibilities as well

Sadie - a dog name!

Alice - nice but quite common at the minute

Ada - slightly better but overall similar feelings to Iris

Veda - a popular type of bread here in Ireland! A tasty malt loaf but certainly not a name

Cara + Orla - both lovely, especially if you have an Irish connection

My daughter is Iris so I will be very biased and say that gets my vote!

Elise - don't like. Very wet, weak sounding name.
Sadie - I want to like it but I hear sadist.
Alice - see comment on Elise - same applies.
Ada - love.
Veda - nice.
Orla - love.

I like Sadie, Alice, and Veda from your list. Not really keen on Cara or Orla, and imo Iris and Elise are a bit dull.
