Stanley, Frank or Otto

We love all three and cannot decide.
Less keen on the shortening Stan which I know we will not be able to control once DS gets to school but we would choose to call him Stanley
Which do you prefer? Any names we may like based on our list

I like them all. Frank would be my favoutite then Otto then Stanley

IHateWasps · 06/10/2023 20:14

Otto by far. Then Stanley. Frank is about the ugliest name out there.

avocadotofu · 06/10/2023 20:15

Definitely Otto.

ThreeLeggedPug · 06/10/2023 20:16

Adore Frank

Clemally · 06/10/2023 20:17

Frank is ugly, Otto is a Labrador, Stanley works well on a child or adult.

Blueolivio · 06/10/2023 20:19

I love Frank but there seem to be loads of them suddenly. There are 4 in my dc’s reception year and it’s the only repeated name! I could live in a hot spot though who knows.. if you’re not worried about potential popularity this would be my choice, next choice Stanley.

SherbetLemonn · 06/10/2023 20:22

I love Frank.. my son was nearly Frank but another name just pipped it to the post! Then Stanley then Otto. I like them all really. Though I think Otis is nicer than Otto, if you cared for any more suggestions.

Ilikeyourdecor · 06/10/2023 20:23

I would personally never risk using a name where I didn't like the obvious short form. So I would choose Frank, then Otto, then Stanley.

Lavenderosa · 06/10/2023 20:27

There are lots of little Franks around. Otto reminds me of a dog too. I can't get past Stanley Johnson I'm afraid!

If you like old names, how about Walter, Ernest (Ernie), Albert (Bertie), Percy or Wilfred?

NewShoes · 07/10/2023 10:31

Frank is very sweet. I haven’t come across many myself and think it’s simple and classic.

DramaAlpaca · 07/10/2023 10:34

Love Stanley and I don't have a problem with the inevitable Stan. I think it's cool.

Frank and Otto are two of the ugliest names out there, especially Frank. Francis is nice though.

theduchessofspork · 07/10/2023 11:24

Love Stanley, and think Stan is fine.

I like Frank, but it’s very of the moment. Prefer it short for Francis or Franklin

Otto just makes me think of Nazis (sorry)

Liv999 · 07/10/2023 15:24

They're all pretty awful sorry OP, I would go with Stanley out of the three, Frank is very ugly and Otto reminds me of otters

Medlady · 07/10/2023 15:28

‘Frank’ means open, honest, direct according to the dictionary. I like that

Molly54320 · 07/10/2023 15:28

Otto

dressedforcomfort · 07/10/2023 16:01

Stanley.

All the Otto's I know are canine or feline....

Daisybuttercup12345 · 07/10/2023 22:27

Frank.
Not keen on the other two.

No Franks but also awful.

otto ok

how about Orlando? Lando for short

bellamountain · 07/10/2023 22:49

Stanley. Otto and Frank are interesting choices, but then I'm just thinking of Anne Frank's father, on their own of course there's no correlation.

ErrolTheDragon · 07/10/2023 22:52

A trio of dachshunds?

Incognito2023 · 07/10/2023 22:53

PunjabiGirl · 07/10/2023 22:57
