Names to go with Elliott

DH and I are having a second boy, we used the only name we could agree on for ds and his middle name is our dad's name (they have the same first name)

We've banded names about but can't agree on a name, ds has said he likes the name Elliott, it's ok neither of us dislike it and have agreed it'd be a nice middle name. But we're struggling with names, some that we've suggested are:

Archie (Archer or Archibald)
Sebastian
Calab
Billie

I like Eli and Lloyd
DH like Harry and Louis

Louis would be a nice nod at family as my middle name, sil middle name and both our mums middle name is Louise (can tell we were all born between 1970 and 1995 🤣)

Can anyone suggest anything that we may not have thought of? Or offer thoughts on what we've discussed that may change one or others opinion?

Billie Elliot or Eli Elliot?

Pull the other one

We have an Elliot. Two TTs is the surname. People do spell it in multiple different ways and it does drive me a little crazy as Elliot is the one and only correct way 😊

There are so many around where we live for some reason, I'm gutted as I thought we were being original.

But back to the original question: Owen, Alex, Tom

Archibald Elliott and Lloyd Elliott are my favourites.
Archie and Lloyd are very sweet.

Others ..
Lexton Elliott - Lex
George Elliott
Darcy Elliott

Your little boy will have a huge amount to live up to if you name him George Elliott. To complicate matters, she was a woman whose birth name was Mary Ann Evans.

Alexander Elliot
Arthur Elliot
Anthony Eliot

I like Henry and Louis, but I think since your older DS has a name that honours his grandfathers, it would be a nice nod to use Louis.

Elliott is the original spelling of the name, Elliot is a varient of that. We discovered this while having a spelling crisis actually in the registry office and the registrar googling it and the 3 of us going down an Elliott spelling rabbit hole when we were supposed be registering the baby 🤣... the surname/first name thing doesn't make a difference, its just how its ended up in different families. I think both spellings are lovely..but I'm autistic and double L double T felt more balanced to my brain 😁... bit like lining up my pens in colour order in even numbers !!

Oh really! I went off a baby book which said Elliot was the original spelling and of French origin (I'm French so that biased me to this spelling!).

I do find a few things confirming this online, but it seems Elliott is the original Scottish spelling. So I guess they're both right!

I like both, it's when family or friends start using just one L or introducing a Y I get a little cross 😂

I have a Zachary Elliot 😊

@ElliotName , if the books are anything like the baby name websites there will be dodgy entries.

Watch out for initial spelling with Eliott as a middle name
