Opinions? Alternate suggestions?

Sister would be Hazel, but would need suggestions for potential brothers. I like Sean & Adam

I love the name but it is very very common lately.

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 17/09/2023 12:32

I like all your names. Isla is very pretty. I also like Lara.

welshweasel · 17/09/2023 12:35

Nice name but very common round here. I also like Lara, Cara, Cora, Isolde, Mara.

NotFastButFurious · 17/09/2023 12:57

I really like it but I think it’s quite popular (I’m in Scotland though so might be more popular than elsewhere).
Sean and Adam are good together.

I know it’s an old name but in the last few years it has sprung up to be so so common. It’s nice and a bit boring at the same time.

PickledScrump · 17/09/2023 15:41

I really like Isla. People on here always say it’s really popular but I only know of 2, one 14 and one is 5.

KirstenBlest · 17/09/2023 17:29

It's been in the top 10 most registered names for girls in England & Wales for 10 years and it's even more popular in Scotland.

Babies called Isla in England & Wales since 1996 (darkgreener.com)

Depends on the surname, could sound like Isle of.

I don’t know any, and I’ve worked in a preschool for years

I like it but there are a lot of them

Iona or Ida instead?

Adam is quite nice, Sean I really don’t like

Maybe Rowan, Ronan, Patrick, Corin, Lachlan, Nathan, Jerome for a boy

CharlieBoo · 18/09/2023 22:31

Isla is everywhere.. will be this generations Louise/Kelly etc

Swishswish26 · 18/09/2023 22:45

It has routinely been in top 5 names for the last 13/14 years. There are so many Isla’s- 3 in my dd’s class and most class have at least two. As long as you don’t mind it being so popular then I think it’s a nice name.

Cakecakecheese · 20/09/2023 21:39

I like it but if you're bothered about such things Isla is the most popular girls name I've come across at baby groups recently. The most popular boys names are Archie and Finley.
