Middle name for Annabelle

We’re pretty set on Annabelle as a first name but really struggling on a middle name! My DH thinks we should just go without but I don’t think a name feels finished without one.
There are no family names that work (plus we used our favourite ones on our DD). I liked Rose and think it flows well but it feels too common and my DH isn’t keen so that’s a no. Any and all suggestions welcome!

I would go for a classic name, not too long, not too short.

Annabelle is nice but quite frilly, especially the French spelling - so keep it simple

I have an ‘Annabelle Faye’ - I also liked the middle name Kate - lovely first name Annabelle if I do say so myself 😉

I think it depends on whether you want something traditional eg Mae or flowery or racy and different perhaps a hybrid of a family name or a boyish name? And what works well with your surname. So difficult I know but good luck

@cherryassam such a good list and I do agree one syllable names work well with a longer name like Annabelle. There are a few lovely ones there and I really like Rae!

@Daffodil63 generally I love floral, traditional and quite ‘pretty’ names so think we should avoid anything too girly. It’s so hard! We have quite an unusual surname that people tend to spell and pronounce wrong so like to keep names a bit more simple for that reason too 😅

Didn’t struggle at all with our DD’s name so finding this a lot harder than expected!

I know an Annabelle Anne, which surprisingly (to me) works.

I like middle names, I didn’t use family names for any of my DC, I used names that I loved as much as their first name so if they didn’t like that when they were older, they could use their middle name.

I really like the name Clements atm but I think Scott if it's not too boyish goes really well with Annabelle hence I was asking about male names in the family. So difficult 😞 too many to choose from!

Annabelle Grace is the obvious one; Grace is used a lot as a middle name but I still think it’s beautiful.

I love the name Annabelle, especially that spelling 😊
Annabelle Faye as suggested by a pp is nice, I also think Annabelle Daisy is lovely.

Middle names don't have to work. It's nice to use family names
