I love this name for a girl, having doubt if I'm brave enough to be different or in fact cool enough. Aside from the obvious unisex debates, what do you think of the name Drew?

Not to my taste but overall OK, it's not ridiculous or offensive. Just a bit too American for me!

A few weeks ago I was in A&E with kidney stones. I was so poorly. The female doctor who treated me was called Drew. She was wonderful and because of that I now think it’s a great name for a girl.

as a boys name I think it’s fine (it’s often a shortening of Andrew in Scotland) but as a girls name it just feels quite american. Maybe because my only female association of it is Drew Barrymore!

Not keen, especially if your surname is Peacock

Its more of a boys name.

Drew is a pretty name for a girl that will age well as she gets older.

I wouldn't use it in Wales. Too close to the Welsh word for stink

I've always loved the name Drew for both girls and boys but it sounded stupid with our surname.

My aunt was called Dru, short for Drusilla.

It’s a bit cheesy 80/90s American like Shelby, Brooke, Sloane

It’s not the worst, just not great.

Even on a bit I only really like it short for Andrew

Not a fan for either sex. It’s not about being cool naming a girl this, it’s about choosing a name they will love right through out their life.

I think it's a cute name but that's probably because I associate it with Drew Barrymore when she was in ET

It's predominantly used for boys so you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a boy. Or surname. It's quite an ugly name, IMO.

Agree that it's better as short for Andrew.
