Grace

Alice!

clpsmum · 31/08/2023 17:43

Alice grace for me it's beautiful and elegant

MrWoodhousecanfeeladraught · 31/08/2023 20:53

I have an Alice so I’m biased; beautiful name. However, I do love both your other choices too.

Womblegreen · 31/08/2023 20:55

Alice, by far my fav

Amelia is too popular
Grace - what if she isn’t? Also too popular

AnythingMusical · 01/09/2023 00:41

I work in a school and there are so many Amelias (and Emilia)... still a lovely name nevertheless.

Rosieroe · 01/09/2023 07:53

Alice is a lovely name. Grace is also lovely but lots of little Graces at the moment.

I’m not keen on Amelia which could probably end up shortened to something like Mel or Melly among her friends.

continentallentil · 01/09/2023 08:10

Grace I think

Less popular than the other two as a first name, and more grown up than Alice. Amelia has been really overdone

WaltzingWaters · 01/09/2023 08:11

Alice

Rosieroe · 01/09/2023 11:23

I know you say you’re down to 3 names, but have you considered Faith?

sonypony · 01/09/2023 18:16

I wouldn’t use Amelia as it always makes me think of congenital Amelia. Alice and Grace are both lovely names, but I prefer Alice.

Cressie2 · 01/09/2023 22:29

Grace

spilltheteapot · 01/09/2023 22:30

All lovely names.

I would choose Alice.

Samzzz · 03/09/2023 08:34

Alice. The other two are so overdone

StrawberrySkies · 03/09/2023 12:50

I love Grace. It's so simple and I think the nickname Gracie is adorable.

FayCarew · 03/09/2023 12:52

It would be said as Gricey where I live.

gemma19846 · 03/09/2023 17:56

Alice reminds me of the Vicar of Dibley. Amelia is very common
Fave Grace but obviously sounds religious

TigerLily90x · 03/10/2024 10:30

Out of curiosity- What name did you choose? I’ve stumbled upon this thread looking for inspiration for my 3rd daughter’s name.
My 13 year old is Grace and my 9 year old is Amelia :)!
Grace wasn’t popular at all back in 2011 which is why I chose it but it’s grown in popularity since then as has Amelia.

BedPhobia · 04/10/2024 19:10

.

marshmallowfinder · 04/10/2024 19:19

Amelia as a medical definition means 'absence of limbs'.

It also has an ugly "mealy' sound in it. I'm afraid it's my most disliked name.

Bunnycat101 · 04/10/2024 20:41

I think you have to look at regional popularity and whether it bothers you or not. Both of mine have common names but have never had another in their class. There are duplicates of names that are much less common though so I think it can be really localised re trends.

Purplecatshopaholic · 04/10/2024 20:45

Amelia is a birth defect/disease. Never have understood the name’s popularity. The other two are nice.

leia24 · 04/10/2024 20:56

Grace is lovely

CoffeeWithHer · 04/10/2024 20:57

Alice - such a lovely name x
