Is this name too much of a tongue twister?

Georgia Drew? I can't work out if it's difficult to say out loud or I'm overthinking it.

Other options are Molly, Carrie and Hadley

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Robinbuildsbears · 29/08/2023 07:37

It is a little bit difficult to say, all your other choices work better I think.

QuietDragon · 29/08/2023 07:37

It's hard to say and doesn't flow at all. Sorry.

The others are easier to say.

booktokbear · 29/08/2023 07:40

Yeah it's the syllables at the end of Georgia and the start of Drew that really don't seem to work. It just doesn't flow. Sorry.

minipie · 29/08/2023 07:51

It is tricky to say.

Molly Drew is fab. Hadley is a boy’s name to me?

justanotherparrot · 29/08/2023 08:11

All lovely names OP but the Georgia doesn't flow with your surname very well in my opinion.
I really like Molly and Carrie.

Strugglingtodomybest · 29/08/2023 08:13

I don't find it hard to say.

user1492757084 · 29/08/2023 09:05

She will likely be called Georgie Drew which is not hard to say though Georgia is a bit of a tongue twister.

Carrie and Molly sound better with your surname.
Both are my faves.

Hadley Drew is not as clear or easy to say.

KirstenBlest · 29/08/2023 09:58

It's fine, other than it could sound like George Adrew.

As for "the syllables at the end of Georgia", people say Jorja not Jorji-a

User6761 · 29/08/2023 18:31

Contrary to some other posters, I find Georgia Drew fine, and sounds better to me than your other options that seem to run into the surname e.g. Molly Drew is a bit like mildew to me!

I think a 3 syllable name works better with Drew e.g.
Felicity Drew
Emily Drew
Caroline Drew
Marianne Drew
Ottilie Drew
Harriet Drew

PurpleChrayne · 29/08/2023 18:35

Hadley Drew is a phenomenal name!

BakingBeanz · 29/08/2023 18:37

Molly Drew is a great name.

NotMadeOfStone · 29/08/2023 18:39

I don't find it hard to say, plus you won't say it out loud all that often after the 'ooh she's lovey what did you name her' phase!

JamSandle · 29/08/2023 18:39

It's lovely and not hard to say at all.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 29/08/2023 19:10

It sounds fine and is perfectly pronounceable.
It's Georgia which is the micro tongue twister, and would be with any surname! Drew is pretty short and simple as surnames go.

continentallentil · 29/08/2023 20:21

I think it works fine

I prefer it to any of your others and think it runs better. If you are going to call her Georgie day to day, you might go for Georgina as 3 syllables probably balances better with Drew.

Unless you want to consider Nancy, which of course you should..

KirstenBlest · 29/08/2023 20:25

Nancy is great. Love it. Molly is nice. Not keen on Hadley - it's a surname. and makes me think of Tony Hadley.

So True!

KirstenBlest · 29/08/2023 20:27

You are gold, @Wiii .

KirstenBlest · 29/08/2023 20:31

And I suppose to cut a long story short, Carrie doesn't go all that well with the surname. Would do well as a lifestyle journalist's name.

similarminimer · 29/08/2023 23:53

Carrie Drew - carried you? Caribou?
Georgia Drew - george andrew(Wham!)

BananaSlug · 30/08/2023 00:53

It’s not hard to say at all.

ChallengeAnneka · 30/08/2023 00:56

Hadley Drew is great

WhatHaveIDoneNo3 · 30/08/2023 06:59

What about Georgina Drew instead?

MissedItByThisMuch · 30/08/2023 07:02

Seems perfectly fine to me. I do prefer Georgina Drew but if you prefer Georgia it works fine.

CatsOnTheChair · 30/08/2023 07:23

Seeing Hadley in your potential list, is Drew the middle name, or surname?
