Sounds lovely. A mouthful if you’re going to hyphen it though !

Hazelnut9 · 28/08/2023 08:44

Beautiful

Neverseenbefore · 28/08/2023 08:46

It’s nice. I’m personally not keen on Charlotte, but it’s fine. I like Penelope, though wouldn’t want it shortened to Penny.

LulooLemon · 28/08/2023 09:11

Nice name

StoatofDisarray · 28/08/2023 09:28

It's a bit try-hard. I'd choose a simpler name to accompany either of those.

barbarahunter · 28/08/2023 09:28

It's pretty

garlictwist · 28/08/2023 09:30

Sorry but I find Penelope to be an insufferably prim name. Not for me.

Workawayxx · 28/08/2023 09:30

I think it’s lovely and flows well together 🙂

FoodFann · 28/08/2023 09:31

Lovely

35andThriving · 28/08/2023 11:49

Pene means penis in Spanish.

This is something I would want to be aware of this before I named a daughter Penelope.

RoseRows · 28/08/2023 11:51

Beautiful name

CrotchetyQuaver · 28/08/2023 12:10

Sounds nice to me, but as a Penelope myself generally known as Penny, a lot of people have no idea how to pronounce it correctly and go for the pennylope option

Toddlerteaplease · 28/08/2023 12:19

I'm
Hopefully getting a cat called Penelope, she's going to be Penelope Pickle. That flows nicely. 🤣🤣🤣

Floralnomad · 28/08/2023 12:24

I really dislike Penelope and I don’t think they flow either .

Come across this a lot then?
Its a pasta as well

Its a classic Greek name, William shortens to Willy, Richard to Dick, loads of names have other meanings when people want to be idiots

bluegreenandcoral · 28/08/2023 12:25

I love it! I personally like Penny as a nickname as well.

PinkDeer · 28/08/2023 12:27

I love the name Charlotte, but don’t like Penelope. Only know one in real life and she’s in her sixties and goes by Penny. The names don’t flow together imho.

TenOhSeven · 28/08/2023 12:31

They're both lovely names but too much when combined. Agree with others that they don't flow.

Bbq1 · 28/08/2023 12:32

I don't like Penelope although Charlotte alone is pretty. I actually lije Penny but not the full name
I know of a few baby Penelope's /Penny it is becoming quite popular.

GLORIAGloriarse · 28/08/2023 12:33

Bit fussy for my tastes, Penelope Ruth or Penelope Alice maybe?

CosyCapricorn · 28/08/2023 12:51

Beautiful

35andThriving · 28/08/2023 14:55

Op doesn't have to do anything with the information. I would rather be aware of it though before I used the name.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't use William or Richard either.

It wouldn't matter to a lot of people. It might matter to the op.

Theoldwoman · 28/08/2023 14:58

It’s a lovely name!

Vexxa · 28/08/2023 16:55

I think it's lovely

peaceinourtime · 28/08/2023 18:39

Penelope is almost always shorted to Penny and the like as I’m sure you know. I’ve only known one Penelope aged in her late thirties who uses her whole name.
